    Boat tipping

When I make hard left turns to pick up a skier it seems that my '02 Air almost tips over. Is this normal b/c of the weight of the tower? I never noticed this on my Sport.

      TMB,

Gotta agree with Dragon. Power turns just mess up the water for
      everyone.

However, weight of tower shouldn't do this. If you turn hard,
particularly at low speeds, you can get that boat up on the
side, almost to the rub rail.

I had this problem last month, and it turned out that I had a lot of
water in the boat. Turns out my heater had broken, and was filling
the bilge. In turn, my front bilge turned out to be broken, and so
very little water was being pumped out. When making even a
reasonable speed turn, water would shift and take the boat up on
it's side. Worth a check to make sure you're not taking on excess
      water.

The turns were at slow speeds, probably 10 mph. My ballast were empty and there wasn't any water in the engine compartment. Maybe Luke's post is right when it says that is caused from the rotation of the prop. My rub rail is close to touching water.

It's always a good idea to turn to the right when picking up a skier so the driver can keep them in sight at all times.

If you turn to the right on my lake more than likely you will go inside the buoys, which is illegal. Turning to the left always prevents boats that are running behind you from running over your skiier.

Don't turn at 10.... that sends rollers down the lake. Slow down and your problemis solved, and the water will remain more smooth.

I'll take care of the speed of the turns. I just wanted to know if that was normal or not.

I get the "roll" when I make a left hand turn around. It is def. scary the first few times. Don't worry about it, I have been doing it probably 3-5 times a week for the three years I have had my boat, and no problems, weighted or un-weighted.

P.S. I have a lot of Goofy Footed riders in my crew, LH double ups in the backs of the coves, don't worry guys I don't power turn.
