Ok so this is my first time here and I like all the information you all seem to have and I need to see if you can help me out. A buddy of mine has a 79 ski Nautique and is selling it the hours are unknown but it is guesstamated at about 1000, it has all new vinyl and a Sky poll and the original motor and trans. I have ridden on and behind it and it pulls great starts right up? The blue gell coat is fadded however and their is one soft spot in the floor right at the back of the motor. SO my question is what is a fair price for a boat like this, he offered it to me for $4500. Also what are some things i need to check for befor i purchase, what are some of the draw backs to this boat, any info would be greatly appreciated!!!

I paid more than that for this one a while back but it is in excellent shape.His price seems right to me if that is the only problem.
