Why is it that I can not seem to get decent service from Buxton's Marine? I am nice when I go there and explain what I want done.
Drop the boat off and say, make the boat run. I explain I can make it idle fine but when I give it gas it dies, or I can make it run fine when I have gas in it but die when I bring it to idle. I want it to do both. Is this hard to understand.
So I pick the boat up a week and 1/2 later and it runs horrible.
It idle's great. But when I give it gas it backfires and cuts out. How can there be a misunderstading? Why would I give the boat to a dealer and just want them to make it idle? "Ya guys, I have this Ski Nautique that was made to be a tournament boat, and I just want it to idle." "You know, like it's supposto." *sarcarm*
Really.
So I take the boat back to them. They keep it another 2 weeks. Not only do they charge me ANOTHER $361.75 b/c the elect. ign. part that SWCC sold me was the wrong model number, but they had to put a points system back in it. Really, $361.75, ontop of the $300 I already spent for them to make it "run". (Note: when I said I want it to run, I explaind to him, I want it to run like a CC is supposto. He then voluntairly said they'd make it run perfect. And I have a 3rd party witness.) They charged $361 to put a points system back in it. Come on, a monkey could do that. That takes about as much tallent as putting spark plugs in the boat. I was just out of town for 2 weeks or I'd have done it again my self like I have all the other times.
So, on to more ranting.
Yesterday I finally pick up the boat, pay the bill to get the boat off of the lot. (Not that the subject has been dropped, we are supposto talk to SWCC tomorrow.) There are 2 deep scratches down the side of the boat. 1 on each side going from the very front to a little past 1/2 way. I regret not inspecting the WHOLE boat before leaving, but I just couldn't stand to be there anymore. Also, I am missing the side lense cover and bulb of the rear right tail light. The light bulbs on the bottom rail under the prop and rudder were also dangling. All of which was there when I dropped the boat off.
Let this be fair warning to you all, Buxton's Marine has not once, not twice, but 3 times given me poor service, shotty workmanship, and total disregard for their customer's property. A letter to the regional manager of CC and CC in Orlando has already been arrange and will be sent with in the next week.
