I just bought a 2000 super air with the digital pro 5.0 series perfect pass. Can I upgrade to the 6.5n easily? It already has the paddle wheel.

I think you should be able too. The 6.5n requires the paddle wheel, which you have. You can contact PerfectPass for more detailed information on the upgrade. Call PerfectPass at 902-468-2150 or email them at sales@perfectpass.com. -

Indeed, it is very easy to replace. Depending on where your module is, you may not even have to remove the module (or the wiring) to replace the chip, just remove the cover and replace the chip. I have disconnected the power connector during the replacement though.
Just keep in mind that the chip is static sensitive so you'll want to be careful installing the new one and removing the old one (if you want to keep it).Comment
