You said it, a straight backed seat in the 22. All I want is a larger 210 too! minus the storage locker for my returnables, I mean garbage can , foot step pad....whatever.

Mine has a dipstick and a light on the dash so I know if it's low. Also check out page 28 in the PCM manual, it shows a dipstick.

lets clarify, my tranny in my 06 210 does have a dipstick, but the vdrive unit does not, it has two sight plugs that you fill to the bottom of the threads.
two separate units, separate oil supplies

          No guinea pig . . .

First of all it may be a little shorter but it don't turn the prop the way I want it so even if its a few inches shorter its no value to me.

Ryan_E -- Speck is right . . . no dipstick on the pcm vdrive . . . only on the pcm trans which has a different oil level. So you'll have to either hope there's oil in it or you get on your belly, take out the plug and look inside -- or do a coin toss . . . ?%#! Heads its okay, tails its gonna fail. Heck,
I got a light right on my dash that tells me when my vdrive oil is low. I don't think the pcm does.

"It doesn't need an oil change for 1000 hours" . . . yeah sure. I'd rather rather spend $5 for new oil (and get out condensation and any wear specks) than have it lock up during a session a week after the warranties up.

krs0394 " I would not worry about something coming apart during operation. How many times have you had someone riding on the deck above the engine when it was spinning 3 to 4 thousand rpms "

krs0394 . . . The couplers turning 4 or 5 thousand rpms with no guards! I was on a Sea Ray when the coupler bolts came loose so I know it can happen. On my older SAN the couplers underneath a big casting facing my engine so it's much safer.

With the pcm vdrive turning a left hand prop just like everybody else, when I start shopping I might as well look at MC, Malibu, Centurion. I read somewhere that Centurion is offering right hand props now as an option.

I believe Centurion is. They are really marketing the Enzo as 'the' wakesurf boat. You can get either prop rotation and it has the sideswipe exhaust. As surfing grows in popularity I think most of the other boat companies will also need to make the direction of the prop rotation an option.
Ummm, I\'ll take the REAL 210 please. Thanks.

              Sperbet --

I finally had a chance to check and yeah Centurion and the will build me boat with good old right hand rotation. Smart move by Centurion. Not so smart move by CC. But hey, I'm located a ton closer to Centurion than to CC!!

Hate to leave the Nauty family, but I'm not to confident right now as to whats up with the Pres. leaving and going back to Sea Ray. May be he sees disaster coming and wants to get out before he gets the blame . . . .

Seems a minor reason to be considering leaving CC if ou don't mind me saying. Is it that important for you ? I have to say that the new V drive unit on the 06 SANTE is far smoother that the old one. It genuinely seems like an improvement. Sorry if you leave...

Had the chance to take another ride with the new gearbox and it makes a noise like I've never heard in a wakeboard boat . . . WHY would I want to spend a ton of $ on a boat with a gearbox that's only been out 1 year??? As for prop rotation, maybe I'm dumb but I've always believed my dealer and the boys at Correct Craft when they've sworn for the past 15 years that every ski and wakeboard boat should have a right hand propeller to counteract the weight of the driver. I believed them before and I still believe them -- don't tell me they've been lying for 15 years !!!

Does this mean now that us older SAN owners will have to pay a premium for props? If all the boat companies went to LH rotation then it seems that trying to pick up a RH prop is going to cost us dearly.

what i find interesting about this whole discussion is this: CC is the only maufacturer to employ RH rotation transmissions for the last 50 years. If this were the only correct answer, then why has no other manufacturer chosen to use that configuration. Surely there is no patent on prop rotation direction (maybe on transmission design). if it truely devalues the boat to that degree, then how have any other manufacturers managed to stay in business for as long as they have? and is it plausible that other manufacturers (given their lack of ability to build a quality wake because of their unbalanced boat) would figure out a way to move some of the components of their boat to the port side to keep it from listing as bad? you know, batteries, fuel cells, etc. shifted just left of center to balance the boat while under way... and if CC is shifting away from the RH prop, was it all marketing before, or have they found a better way? certainly CC would sacrifice quality just to change prop direction...

Again, sorry if you leave and sorry to hear of your experience. My bud has the 2006 210 with the new V DRIVE unit and I have to say that his seems smoother than mine. (2005). His wake is identical weighted or just stock ballast.

Prop rotation should not be an issue as other manufaturers make good boats too like MC and BU. Most people add extra weight to the 210 in any case so the driver weight can be catered for in a variety of other ways. I have all kinds of weight in my boat and the wake is first class with a big kick.

Still think that even in its current version the 210 takes some beating, especially the wake but genuinely, good luck whatever you decide.
