    ramlin trailer and garage door

i have a 97 ski on a ramlin trailer we found a house we really like but it as 2.... 9 foot garage doors instead of one 16 foot.. but when i measured the door its like 8'-8" and i measured the trailer and that looks to be the same so as anyone put there ramlin trailer in a garage door like that?

    It fits

I will have to measure my doors to find the width but I put my 196 on a Ramlin in my garage from time to time. It is tight but it fits. I usually back up and then hand roll the trailer in. Suppose it depends on how often you are taking it out and putting it in.

I have nothing but admiration for a man that measures the value of a house based on if his boat fits in the garage!!!

Same deal with me. Mine is a prestige trailer and it measures 8'5" from outside guide post to outside guide post with the plastic tubes off. My garage door is 2.5" bigger. It is tight but it does fit, I am a much better backer upper than I use to be. My driveway goes slightly uphill so to push it in by hand it takes 4-5 guys, which I usually don`t have. When taking it back out I pull it out most of the way before hooking up.

You might be able to remove some of the trim along the sides of the door to allow more clearance. They are just there to make it look a little bettwer, and seal the garage a little better. i removed the trim at the top of my door to allow mine to clear without hitting the tower when folded.
