Not a fan, it looks like they went overboard on trying to make the public happy about "storage problem". If U guys complained about the '04 tower, take a good look at this one, Fugly! Whats wrong with a normal jump seat? Now we have a couch that has to be moved around. Whats with the 2 big humps separating the seats? Just for a cooler and swing up seats for their "storage problem". This might be harsh but MC seems to keep the interior with "normal wrap-around" seating so you can still move freely around the boat. Innovation is getting out of hand with these boats.

As much as I love this boat I couldnt justify it. My 216 is just too versatile for our needs, Skiing and Boarding, Maybe someday we will switch to a big ****** V-drive when we have kids out back doing more of the boarding..
I hope the versatile seating arragements and practicality bleeds over into the rest of the line in years to come.
I wish they would have done something different with the 216. I always loved the itnerior arrangement on the Tige 22i.

I dont get FRG's post...I respect his opinion but I dissagree. The innovation is awesome for this TYPE of boat. Its been built for a certain buyer and for a certain purpose.
How many times have you gone out with more than 4 people in your boat.. youre going to be out for the whole day...you bring a couple of coolers an few bags, some food and POW before you know it your climbing over the crap you have just loaded in your boat. Then you got trash to deal with and that another problem. This boat addresses alot of this atuff....so what if you got a seat to move around....I have to move my jumpseat around too.
Another thing I run into is that most of the folks in the boat want to watch the action out back. I run out of places to put people where they can comforatbly sit and look to the back.
Its not a problem when theres a few people but when I have a big group it can be a little bit of an annoyance.
But, for what we do, I need my kind of boat . Some people will need this type of boat. This boat is purposely built, obviously its not for everyone but whoever gets one of these has got all the bases covered!

I still don't see the point, If you have a bunch of people in the boat, that want to face towards the stern, you still can't use the back rest, I wouldn't want someones feet all over me. "Normal" lift up seats would have worked just fine, also giving you 2 move places to sit. The Interior looks cluttered. For the storage factor, It's a bigger and deeper boat, thus, creating more storage. The "Floor plan" IMO is poorly done, I mean, this boat looks like it has a engine box from a 1980's I/O.
The things I do want to know are:
Most importantly, How is the wake?
Does the carpet snap out?
Where is the ballest located? (under the floor) tons of more storage
ps. Storage to me (cause I live on the water) is somewhere to store weight, I can really give a hoot about peoples bags, coolers, tubes, ect. if it doesn't fit, it doesn't come with.

So I'm on board with the majority. I like it.
The Good:
Seating layout
Backrests for rear facing passengers
I count comfortable seating for 8
Side cooler and trash can
Center seat! Although it becomes a major obstacle for the driver to assist the skier or in tying up the boat.
Little touches like the glove box lid. I never understood why it was a heavy block of wood...
And most of all...they're pushing the Correct Craft name again!
The Bad:
Oversized tower. WHy?
Wraparound windsheild
Looks like a 211, but the colored hull helps a lot - still needs a secondary stripe.
The sun pad net - With all that storage? It must be for tubes, but I don't think it's safe enough for highway travel.
Lost the stern walk through
Will the swivel racks work with a bimini?
Still doesn't have an on board air compressor!
Can't stand the graphic
Where do I put the hydrofoil?
Now tell me... is this supposed to be CC's best wakeboard boat or best crossover boat? Do you really need a 210, 211 or a 226 with this boat? I'm confused which boat does what best... :???:
Considering everything...I think CC is to be commended for their attempt to improve upon the standard runabout layout. For those that don't really get it, consider it a work in progress.

Excellent post Redelf75.
Those are some interesting questions that i haven't even thought about.
I do know one thing - I will definitely have one, but I think I'll give it a few years to "evolve". [Assuming the wake is comparable to the 210.]
As you said, it is a "work-in-progress"Current: 2017 G23

I think to each his own. I think CC hit a homerun with this boat for the people that want a boat this size. I myself like the boat a lot but still prefer my SV-211. We are a family that likes to do lots of things on the water including slalom sking and the 211 is the boat for us. If I were to go out and buy a new boat today it would be another SV-211. I don't fit the target group for this boat but it was high time that CC build a boat for that group. I would rather have this boat than an X-Star any day.Life is Short, Live it!

I think this is their wakeboard boat, for riding more than anything. Less consideration was given to happiness sitting in the boat and more to watching people ride I think. Wake is 226 like from what a reliable rider source told me. So, take one with the factory ballast and hope ther eis room for a lot of Rival system and we have a nice setup. I am hopeful... will ride it in a few weeks and see what I really think.

Everyone keeps complaining about the rear seat, saying it's just like an 80's I/O. It is not. It looks to me like the bottom of the seat backs are almost (if not completely) flush with the center seat back. This would mean that you'd have no problem sitting sideways and watching a rider. Of course, why would you if you can just use the new rear-facing seating? The other choices would have been: a). Move the seats forward and flush with the center, or b). make the rear side seat backs straight up and down. Option a. would not have left enough room for the new rear-facing side seats and option b. would have just sucked.
I think the greatest thing about the new interior is the rear-facing side seats which are made possible by the "cab forward design" and the rear corner seat design. In combination with the center jump seat, you can have 4 or 5 people comfortably seated in a rear-facing position, not counting bow seating. That is awesome. I'd much rather be sitting back on one of those side seats, with my legs stretched out, than twisted around in the back corner of a normal v-drive.
Basically, with this layout, you can have 7 riders out without ANYONE getting an uncomfortable seat. Add a normal walkthrough jumpseat and you'd be up to 8. Sure, it would start getting cramped with another in the bow, another on the jump seat, a couple in the rear corners, and another behind the observer seat but wouldn't that be true of any 22-ft boat?

Hey Redelf,
I know it's probably not reality, but if you have so many people in the
boat that you need to use that center seat, you'd think someone else
might be able to help dock the boat or assist a skier (you're friends
must be as boat lame as mine Yellow_Flash_Colorz: ).
I think I'd have to sit in the boat to know how the windshield impacts
the driver. I dont' like the MC windshield, where you have to talk
over the windshield to the rider. I can't tell from photos how far back
this one is.
Why an air compressor? I assume you want one to fill up tubes. It seems to me that this boat is designed for hard core wakeboarders, so
I'm not seeing the purpose in a built in an air compressor.

The guy in the picture on page seven is Rick Mason, from down near Charlotte. His boat was a 2001 SAN, blue & yellow, with one entire compartment in the rear dedicated to subs & amps, and a ton (not "a lot" - we're talking actual 2,000 lbs+) of sand in the bottom. Every locker was filled to the brim - trailer cried out in pain every time the boat was loaded.
Rick rides a SkySki, and does it very well - He was out with us on Saturday before heading to the show and even with no ballast in my SAN he was popping 15-20' high rolls.
As you can see in the picture, he's in the market for a new boat!
