    Flight Clips

I just picked up my '03 SANTE. love everything about it except for the flight clips. I can only put boards in the outside holders. I can't put boards in the side closest to the tower because the bindings hit the tower. I tried putting my 4-track wakeskate and it has enough rocker that it hits the tower. :???: Why have I not heard any complaints about this huge problem? Am I missing something?

I can get my boards into the rack but, like you occassionally have boards hit the tower. The 04' are bolted on and have about 1/2" block on the mount so, that pushed the rack out further.
I was thinking of blocking mine as well but, it's a winter time project.

Yep that is what I will have to do, I only tried it with my board now that I think about it. CWB transcend (tons of rocker) with LF Transits (huge bindings.) I may be putting a pair of boss racks on the roof though, we will have to see. the '03 has a lot less space than my '01 did.

If anybody wants to sell some of the 05 style flight clips with wrap around clamps I'm buying.

ME TOO!. All you need are the clamps the clips are the same. I tried to get ahold of some but, they are difficult to obtain.

            Chris,

            You missed your opportunity:

Can you use the same clamps that you have on your box?

Not to hijack this thread.........too late!

Do any of you know how to shorten the bungee cord on the Flight Clips? For some reason one is extra long. There is a black plastic connector, but no obvious way to release the cord.

The inner section slides out of the outter secton. That is there is an insert in the black plastic thingy. You might be lucky, and be able to just pull the bungee cord thru the plastic, making the loop on the end bigger, then try to push the othe end thru the plastic and trim it off.
