Marketing of 220 v. 210

The CC press release states that the 210 is "the" big-air boat. It further states that the 210 is "the single best wakeboard boat on the planet."

It also states that the 220 is "hardcore in every detail" though.

So which is it? Is the 210 the hardcore wakeboarders boat, or is the 220 going to be marked as such?

It sounds to me like they are marketing the 220 as a bigger, more plush, really good wakeboard boat, but they are still marketing the 210 as THE wakeboard boat for hardcore riders.

What do ya'll think?

220= Larger family boat for wakeboarders.
210= "Corest" strictly wakeboarding, throwing out the "best wake" in the lineup.

Quite frankly the SS/SAN hull has been around for 11 years now, it has time and time again proved itself to be one of the best in the industry. I don't think that you can create a new boat, and attempt to give it "street credit" when no one has ridden behind it. I guess we'll see what wake the 220 kicks up, and maybe by next year it will be the "core boat." That's just my 2 cents.

me too. If the 210 is still THE wakeboard boat you think they would have let it keep it's title as the SAN.

Somehow, I have a funny feeling about it being called the Air 210... They tried that in '03, and mid year changed it back to Super Air 210, because they were getting so many complaints. I wouldn't be suprised to see it happen in '06 too...

Yeah, I was a little bit sad to see that they had made that change. I knew the new boat was going to be a Super Air, but I didn't realize that the 210 would no longer be a Super Air.

I think they should trash the Super prefix altogether.

Dedicated ski boat: Ski Nautique.
Dedicated wakeboard boat: Air Nautique.
Everything else would go by numeric model name. THe tower/tanks package should not differentiate the model.

Uhh... They don't... The Air Nautiques are just a Package, my boat still says "Super Sport Nautique" on the capacity plate...
