    Forgive this question guys

What is the best tool for extracting the tranny fluid from my PCM330?
I know this has been talked about a bazillion times, but I'm working so much and caring for my dad who's recovering from surgery, mom can't do the heavy stuff  , that I don't have time to search the archives.
THANK YOU ALL!!! Mike 2002 196

I got me one of these:

Works very nicely for all fluid changes. I even used it to bleed my trailer brakes.

Hope your Father get's well soon and you find some time to get back on the lake.

Thanks Flux!! I'm grateful.for the kind words. His surgery was this past Monday, we skied all weekend, so we didn't have any down time. This weekend looks like tropical storm/ hurricane Katrina will kill the weekend. :x

I use a pump I got at home depot that attaches on a cordless drill and sucks out the fluid. West Marine and alike stores probably have them to. It is best to suck it into a graduated container so you can put the same amount of fluid back in. I was able to get 2 qt's even out of mine. good luck with the storm.

You are welcome. Somebody here recommended that unit to me. Skidim is great too, good folks to deal with. The container only has 1/2 gal increments on it, so you have to kind of judge your quarts, but you could easily pour it into a better container like george suggested.

I was thinking guys if I have a precise reading on the dipstick before extracting, and then make sure it matches exactly when refilling that would work. Comments? Should I go back to my drawing board and blow it up? Yellow_Flash_Colorz:

I like to warm it up, and then drain it out the hole in the bottom into a small tupperware container, and then use a pump to suck it out from there. Just another option that might let you get some of the stuff right from the bottom.
