DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE I COULD GET A WAKE PLATE FOR MY BOAT
I KNOW CC ARE OFFERING ONE AS AN OPTION ON THE 2006 BOAT BUT CAN THESE BE RETROFITTED TO A 2005 BOAT AND WHO ELSE MAKES THEM ANY IDEAS ??????

Brian,

The '06 models come without a lip on the hull. The boats that come with the gate will "add" the lip when you are in the slalom setting and remove it when you want a bigger wake and are on the other settings. The boats that don't come with the gate have a plate instead, this simulates the lip.

If you want to add the gate to your boat you would have to grind the lip off. Then add all of the accessories such as gate, cables and control. I don't know if you will be able to find the gate outside of CC as this is their design and would imagine they have a patent on it (that is my guess).

I would think that your dealer may be able to install it though. The '05 and '06 are practially the same (although search for a thread on TCS-3 hull, there seem to be some differences on the new hull) so your dealer should not have a problem installing them. Some '05 promo boats had the gate from factory.

I have the 211 and based on it's wakeplate I would just no, it's not possible to retrofit. As Brian said the "tunnel" behind the prop is completely different, however I don't think it's a simple grind off operation, more like a rebuild operation. It might be something to consider if you hooked your rudder on something and tore it completely out of the boat (shaft and all), thus requiring that area to be rebuilt anyway.

Why would you want to add this to your boat? What about the wake would you want to change?
