RE: Titan III tower on 210 thumbs up/down?
Mike, I didn't like it. It doesn't follow the lines of the windshield well. It actually
blocks the view for the driver to the right and gets in the way of reaching out for a dock, etc. It narrows
too much at the top which would reduce the size of bimini that can be installed. I like
the look of the polished finish, but I'd much rather have a brushed finish as I think it is
easier to keep clean. Finally, it just didn't look like a nautique tower. It looked like an aftermarket
add-on.2001 Super Air

RE: Titan III tower on 210 thumbs up/down?
I'll take a pass too, maybe it's just me, but I like towers that don't completely conform to the match the windshield line, that's what I like about the 00-03+05 towers. I've never seen a Titan III with that bar running from the front leg to the back leg following the windshield, so that must be an add on? I like the Titian II towers, but have heard mixed reviews on the Titan III...
I also agree that it looks like an afterthought instead of a factory option... But isn't that CC's promo 210 that they're using in the brochures? Does that mean that the 06 models really will have the option of different towers, interesting...How about \"Chales\"?

RE: Titan III tower on 210 thumbs up/down?
Remember guys, this is a one-off prototype so some of your issues may be address if it were ever to make it into production.
Since my buddies Malibu I-Ride has the Titan III, I have had the opportunity to spend some time around the tower, folding the tower, installing his tower speakers, etc. I believe that the Titan III has the best hardware and folds down lower and easier than any other tower on the market. It takes one guy about 2 seconds to raise or lower the tower, the notched/snap hardware at the top works extremely well. To raise the tower you just raise the bars and click them together then turn in the knobs while the tower holds itself up. See the picture below, the notch and latch work together to hold the tower up until you lock it down with the knobs. They also offer this tower in a powder coated finish.
I have no stake in this but I have tower envy for my buddy when I compare my FCT to his Titan. I would like to see them build this with open sides with a little wider stance.

RE: Titan III tower on 210 thumbs up/down?
Dragon,
Actually, west coast correct craft has been working with Titan on the possibility of providing these towers
as an option. This is a prototype tower. At the dealers meeting on Thursday, as well as the reunion on Saturday, CC and WCC were soliciting feedback/thoughts. The tower is interesting because the two sides fold
inward, and quite low. I still didn't care for it, but there is some interesting thinking going on.
One issue is that most people want the tower to follow the windshield lines a la MC and others. Yet, most people don't want the big wraparound windshield where you have to look through the window even to the side,
and your arm is trapped inside. If you follow the contour of the smaller windshield, you don't get
great width on the tower for stability.2001 Super Air

I like it, sort of. But I wouldn't want in on my CC. WHile I thought the first 2 piece tower looked like it could have been somewhat cooler looking, I have become to accept it and, like the windsheild, has become a distinct feature of the CC family profile.

I don't like it, it doesn't follow the lines of the boat, and that cross bar is directly in your field of view when your sitting in the drivers seat. Also it's too narrow on top, and it looks "economical" . There's not Nautique logo. The 210 is sharp and edgy, this tower is too curvey and plain. The way it mounts on the boat looks alittle thin.
I like the polished SS, that's a step in the right direction, but not the design, or plainness.2004 SV-211 Team

I like it, I think it follows the lines of the secondary stripe and the windshield. On thing I haven't seen is how it will affect the view of the driver. I had a Belmont Tower on a 03 Nautique and I absolutely loved it. It had similar lines and was MUCH better than the 04 FCT. 05 FCT was a step improvement, but sucked when trying to put boards on the flightclips. I am excited to see new options.

I have a Titan II and a Titan III...the II model is easier to take down / put up as it only has 1 knob. The III has more side to side flex than the II, but the III is better looking (IMO) when you look at the two side by side. Regardless of the model, they are silent, work great with the Titan lift offs for the racks, work will with a Monster tower quick release mirror arm. Titan makes a great product.

That tower rocks! Polished stainless can't be beat, the heim joints were brought to us by Titan and have saved many the horror of spider cracks. Better yet, all the Titan accessories will work; specifically the spinner and a lift off option represent design and craftsmanship at its best. Hands down, IMHO, Titan has the best design and manufacturing quality out there. Props to CC for teaming with another industry leader.
