'06 216 Question

Someone came up to me and asked if the AIR 216 had a different hull from the SPORT/SKI 216. I told him (thinking '05) that Air and Sport don't change models, but are just packages. The models are the numbers, i.e. 216 and 210... Only dif. btw my Air 216 and a Sport 216 was that mine came w/ the tanks and tower standard... That made sense to him...

But then I rememberd hearing here that in '06 something is going on w/ the DD's and that they will only be offered in a Ski/Sport package. Is this true? Can someone clarify this? Will the 206 and 216 be having the TSC2 or TSC3 hull? I'm pretty confused w/ how they're organizing their lineup this year...

TSC2 hull, Someone said that the 216 would not be available in AIR trim this year, but that you could option them out as the 05 Air's. However I've seen a white '06 216 Air, so either that rumour was false or, the dealership slapped on some air graphics.

The 216 hull should be staying the same TSC2 hull and the 206 might be riding on a TSC3 hull, not sure if they decided to change the name because they only minorly changed the hull...

I guess we'll see what happens, but it really doesn't make that much of a difference. The 216 is unchanged to my knowledge.

I actually did also see an '06 Air 216 on my lake the other day. It looked to be the same as the '05s despite the graphics. I assumed that this boat didn't have any major changes. Its just that this guy said that his other source was our dealer, who said that the Air and Sport 216 were different this year even though I initially thought it was wrong I thought that 'fact' could have something to do w/ this rumor spreading about the hulls...

I offered this guy to test-ski my boat b/c he's considering getting a new one. Either 216 or 211 and is leaning very much towards 216. I just wouldn't want him to test ski my boat, like it, buy it, and then find out that the two boats have dif. hulls...
