RE: Does anybody wakesurf with factory ballast

Only time I've really surfed was on my friends 210 TE w/ factory ballast only and not a large crowed. Very possible on that boat.

All the time. Just the rear corner tank and center ballast in my 211 (even with wife and sister as boat crew, less than 300lbs). More weight = more speed and vice-a-versa. I surf at 9.5 with a light crew.

Last weekend we did some tandem boat surfing between my 211 and a Malibu LSV. We had to bump the speed to 13 to get the converging wake to clean up.

thanks for the reply abundiga909. I was hoping my 210 TE would through up a big wakesurfing wake.I haven't ever wakesurfed before but since we just got a new 210 I plan on starting.

I went out with a guy one time and he rode with just factory ballast on his SAN, but completely filled on both sides. They drove perfectly straight and he could pop up on the rooster and transfer to the other side and then back and forth from side to side. Heelside to toeside, pretty impressive.
Ummm, I\'ll take the REAL 210 please. Thanks.

Yeah, we only surf with just the factory ballast. We can wakesurf on a LF Skimskate (very small) with only the driver in the boat going on a straight line. But with 2-4 people and the driver in the boat the wake is perfect to do 180 and 360 behind it.

Abundiga, surfing behind a 210 on port side... Impresive!

Edit, a pic of my girly. Just factory ballast, 3 people + driver on startboard going 9.3mph.

How would these links answer a 6 year old post about surfing with factory ballast?????

I smell one of LDB's elfs spamming us on his first post.

If I could figure it out I would post a video of my wife surfing our 97 closed bow, with my 220# and my 90# retriever as ballast. 9.5 mph, she can drop the rope.

We never use more than the factory ballast on my 2009 210. Factory ballast plus people is always more than enough for surfing.

I surf my 211, port & center tanks full, 9.5mph with just my buddy driving. I wouldn't think you should have any problems.
