Anxious to see the finished project, but looks great so far. Nice idea on the mold - ready to mass produce eh?

Chris:
First step.
Make a part you can use for a mold.
Take that part and put it in a box that you will pour the mold making material into, Make sure the box is just large enough to hold your part, The bigger the box the more RTV you will need to buy and pour into the box, The RTV is not cheep my mold was over $100 its the Blue stuff you see is what I am calling RTV.
You mix the RTV up and then pour it into a mixing cup with a hole in the bottom. The hole in the bottom will pour into the box that holds your part. The hole in the mixing cup is a way of getting all the Air out of the RTV.
If you just mix up the RTV and pour it in to the bx it will be full of air.
Once the RTV is dry you will have to cut the part out of the mold. You have to cut it out in a way that you can remove the part and not destroy the mold.
The once the mold is ready you mix up some Casting Resin (epoxy) thats what the part is made of and pour it into the mold. 15 min;s later you will have a part. The casting resin is strong but not strong enough for what part im making (grab handle) so for cosmetic reasons and to add strength In going to cover the handles in carbon fiber.
