I just noticed they are listing in the specifications for the Air SV 211 that the boat weight is 3350 for the 2006 model, where it was listed as 3850 for the 2005 model. That is a 1/4 ton difference. Has anybody actually weighed a 211 TE? I guess this could be done by putting the boat and trailer on a truck scale, then subtracting the trailer weight + fluids/gear/etc. It would be nice to know the actual dry weight since this number is important for putting it on a boat lift.

RE: Advertised 2005 Vs 2006 211 weights 500lbs different
Jonfo,
Never weighed my 211 but I use a 4000lb hydrohoist. With a full gas tank and gear it floats the boat no trouble. I can get in the boat too (another 190lbs) and it still stays up but the next person to jump on starts to sink the lift, my guess is 300lbs of bouyancy safety factor. I didn't give it much thought and lucked out. My guess is the actual weight of the 211 is closer to 3500lbs, I don't think it could be 3800lbs or my lift couldn't even lift the boat and full tank of gas. The lift was purchased in 1983 when we had a 2001, it floated about 5 inches higher with that boat. With the 211 only about an inch of the tanks are out of the water.

Dealer told me today that there IS a significant weight difference between the 2005 211 and 2006 211. He said the floor construction is different and at a different height. I can't confirm or deny this myself, but he seemed pretty confident about it.-Jon
