Heated Seats

Just finished installing heated seats in my Air. They are super cool. They have 2 heat settings and warm up pretty quick. If you have them in you car you know how well they work. They are from Checkcorp. They are the same heat inserts used in the Malibu's. The make 3 diffrent kits. 1,2 and 3 heat zones. Here are some pic's from my install. if your intrested in getting some we are a dealer and can hook you up with some heater's. The kits come with a instruction DVD if you somewhat handy with tools the install is no bg deal.

Very cool! I've always worried about it though in the rain and just all the harsh weather it will be exposed to that aren't in cars... Is that something to worry about? Again, nice job!

I dont think there would be a problem with water if they are installed correctly.

The elements them self are wire that is completley coverd/sheilded (like normal wire and then its in the foam. The water gets threw the vinyl at the seems. When you install the units you dont put them over any seems so the only way the water is gonna get threw is from the front and the back of the seem. (dont know if makes any sence.) But IMO you should have your boat coverd or in a garage in bad weather so the only water you should be getting in and on you seets is from normal use. But I can under stan your worries. For the last 3 years Malibu has been installing them on their boats and they havent had any problems

Umm... Because if I were to try to attempt to do that I would have to pay the buyer to take it... yeah it'd be that bad... and anyway, I'd make it blue, not red... Yellow_Flash_Colorz:

Hey I have some prices for the heated seats. There are 3 kits

Standard Kit 1 setting $129
Luxury Kit 2 settings $149
Premium Kit 3 Settings $180

Each kit comes with 2 elements one for the back rest and one for the seat.

Also Massage kits. (you will need this after trying you new trick)Each kit has 4 motors and 20 settings with heat included. The massage kits are built on the Premium heat kit. Each seat $300

I recently discovered that with a dry suit you can board in the rain - smile. IN Oregon, our season is done, but I am still going out - barely. I have an inverter with a plug in heater in combination with my boat heater. How many amps/watts does it dray?

Each seat heater draws less than 3 amps. 2.79 amp's to be exact. They draw the same amount of amps in High or Low heat position. Here is a photo of the power supply with the heaters turned on. The Amp draw in in red
