I just bought a 1999 Sport Nautique. The boat cover that came with it does not fit correctly because it has a 2000 or newer Flight Control Tower on it. Are the 1999 and 2000 Sport Nautiques similar enough that I could purchase a 2000 cover? Also what brand of cover and where to purchase do you recommend? I would like to be able to tow with the cover on. Thank you.

I'd recommend having a custom cover made from Sunbrella material. A good local upholstery shop can handle the job.I own and operate Silver Cove Marine, which is an inboard boat restoration, service, and sales facility located in Mooresville, North Carolina. I am pretty sure that the 2000 and 99 Sport Nautiques are the same. You should not have any problem interchanging the covers. The towers did change - 99 is the more erect tower where the 2000 is the backward sloping. Jeff has a good point about having a cover made. IMO that is the way to go!SurfmakerComment

I would agree with NautiqueJeff.....spend the extra and go with a custom cover. I have several friends that have various types of covers....from a catalog, from another boat similar, etc. My boat came with a custom cover and it is far better than the majority of my friends. Some of their covers takes two people....or one guy with very long arms. My 10 and 12 year old boys can easily put my cover on....88 Ski Nautique
