My thoughts exaclty!!! This is Planet Nautique, not Planet MC or BU. If you're happy with a second rate boat that is fine, to each their own.
As for the walk through, I love the one in my "overpriced" 226. Its great! I never allowed my dog in my 210 because he would have to walk on the upholstry, now he can run in and out of the boat without ever stepping on the seats. I agree with noti_dad too, I hated walking across the hatch of my 210 because it was always tracking dirt on the seats.

notidad - thanks for posting that you were writing your post while I posted. You didn't retract anything you said, so I assume you just wanted me to know that? ? ?
You guys are right, my bad.
CC has the copyright on all good ideas. Stupid me.
In previous posts I've only tried to offer my opinion. I've never been negative about CC boats. OK, the remark about the hull design looking like a Sea Doo on the 226, that wasn't nice - I admit. Sorry Cumberland - forgive me. You own a nice boat. It's just not for me. And ya, I do think it's overpriced. But I think a 2006 Bu is overpriced as well.
The poll was whether you like the walk through or not. I said no, and then threw out an option that another manufacturer is using for traversing the rear of the boat. I even posted a picture to back it up.
Would you have reacted the same if another CC owner said what I did? Obviously not. Farther up the thread a guy goes off on how he doesn't like it - you didn't ask him why he's here or ask him to leave.
That's all. Wanted to point out, you guys are sad for ushering someone out that disagrees with you on an issue.

I think some of you guys need to chill out a little bit. Just because he owns a different. (Note: not inferior.) brand of boat doesn't make him any more or less welcome to his opinions.
The world would be a boring place if everyone liked the same things, there is no right boat for everyone and everyone has different needs. Some don't think that Nautiques are worth the extra $$ that they usually cost over other top manufacturers. Some do. The point is, don't worry about what other people think about your boat, you didn't buy it for them and thus have nothing to prove. These "Nautiques rule!!! Everything else is sub par" posts are the kind that start ridiculous boat wars.
Getting the thread back on topic, un-symmetrical interior is probably what bothers me the most about a walk through, although I've never been in a boat with it so I guess I can't comment on whether or not I like it. Personally I don't mind the big sundeck and symmetrical transom of my 210 though... To each their own.
PS. Although this is a private forum I don't believe that in the terms of agreement it said anywhere that you must own a CC to take part in discussions. I personally am a member of a few different brand communities. I also can appreciate the outside view of CC products. How about \"Chales\"?

I agree with Dragon and Jeff. Dragon, you show wisdom beyond
your years.
Chatam, you're ok by me. I've never seen anything but class from you.
You don't plaster pictures of your Bu all over the site, and I've never seen a
pointless CC hate post from you. Most often your posts are around engine, maintenance, or stereos which are common to all brands. And, unlike many
members of the site who are defiantly loyal to CC (including me by the way), you've checked out a number of brands. Accordingly, you've offered what
I find to be useful and unbiased opinions about multiple brands, including the
good the bad and the ugly about your own chosen boat.

I agree with Skinautique, Dragon, bkhallpass, NautiqueJeff, etc.... I think Chatham's comment was a personal negative comment towards Stern pass-thru's not CC's.... I'm a convert and love it, but I still respect the competition! and along with that, other peoples opinions, regardless of boat preference!2005 SV211

Chatham...
First off, your comments are welcomed here at PN. It's no secret to us CC owners that we have a reputation of having a chip on our shoulders.
Next, CC boats do cost a lot. But recently, like MB (Mercedes Bens), I think the prices have been a little more realistic. Afterall, they do have to compete with 20+ other ski boat companies that didn't exist 10 years ago.
Last, I checked your link. You have a very cool looking boat and trailer.
Thanks for posting.
PS A lot of us don't like the 226 either. But the 211 seems to be a favorite, including the stern walk-thru.

I really like the lines of my 216, but can't deny the practicality of the 211 or 220. But one thing that has worked out for me is, where to put the hydrofoil. It sits nicely right behind the driver. It is secured with a 6' DOcking Buddy between the rear tower pole and the pylon.
Can you post a pic of you hydrofoil on the walkthru?
THanks,
