Being new to this forum can someone enlighten me as to the differences between the '86 ski nautique hull vs the barefoot nautique hull? I one better than the other?
ski nautique is flat bottom. the later barefoot and excel hull is very deep V'eed to the transom. I have never seen the hull of the earlier barefoot nautique.
one is for skiing, but with alot of weight can make a good wake.
the barefoot throws a decent unweighted wake and when weighted properly throws a large wake.
we have a martinique wich has a very similar bottom to the later barefoot/excel (higher freeboard) and it throws a very nice wake with no added weight. comprable to many new weighted wake boats. but the wake is big at 21 and just as big at 44mph, no skiing behind it.
