On my perfect pass wakeboard pro on my 2005 sante, the perfect pass shows the speed is 23.5 but the factory speedometer shows the boat is going 25. When the riders cuts in to jump it slows back down, but when just riding behind the boat it runs faster than the perfect pass.Is this normal or should i get it looked at.

RE: perfect pass
Re-calibrate your speedo. Or just ignore the factory gauge period. The different speedometers use two different systems. The perfect pass runs off the more accurate paddlewheel. Where as the factory speedometer runs off the less accurate pilot tubes. My gauges are always off if I'm not going exactly the speed I calibrated the speedo with. The pilot tube gauges have a hesitation when reading speed, where as the paddle wheel sensor notices change immediately. I don't even look at my speedo anymore to be honest though...How about \"Chales\"?

RE: perfect pass
Agree with all of the above. PP is more accurate when set properly.
Check both with a GPS. My pp is accurate. However the only time
it matches up perfectly with the pitot speedos is at 32 mph.

You need to calibrate the perfect pass with a gps. Find someone with a handheld gps. My pp read 32 mph and the gps indicated 40 mph.
My wife was screeming trying to slalom with pp set to 32 mph and I was arguing she just needed to get used to new boat. It was so funny when we figured it out.
She's doing much better now that we've calibrated the pp to gps readings.
Just follow directions in pp manual.

I had the same problem with skiing at 40mph! The Dealer readjusted the PP and said that the GPS reported the Factory Speedo to be accurate and the PP was off... it turns out that at speeds from 0-19 (or so) they both matched.. as I increased speed upwards..especially from 25 on up.. the PP was much less than the Factory Speedo. as stated above, I thought I just needed to get used to the new boat... now I'm sking at 32 to 34 and loving it!2005 SV211
