My recommendation is to match the '02 digital gauges. My digital gauges were replaced twice under warranty and the latest and greatest version only came in the '02 style. My digital gauges work fine and I would like to have a PP that matches. I like the look of all digital. If you have the Faria gauges why not just get the black PP branded display since your gauges don't say "Nautique" anyways.

I'll go along with that gopwr
If they do make matching graphics for 2002 and prior model years, I guess they should match grey faced original equipment.
Many have swithed them out though. The black generic face from PP will look good with the Faria analog replacements, they're not logo'd, so why should the PP?
good point.
But, not much consensus. I don't know what PP will do. Maybe match both digital gray, and analog black.

Here is an example of how my dash looks with the warranty replacement speedo and tach with the original PP. Apparently, there are other people with this same setup, as I found this picture on ebay in a listing for a 2000 SN. It would be nice to be able to buy a matching PP with the new display.2000 Air Nautique Powered by FORD <-- Former Boat

I sent PP a e-mail asking for the 3.5 Grey faced gauge for the new display.
Their responce was. That they know that there is problem with the Grey Teleflax gauges and that Nautique is trading out the old teleflex gauges for the new faria gauges and if you have this done then their black face gauge matches the new faria gauges.
I sent them back a e-mail telling then that its not that easy and that the Faria gauges will set you back like $500 and that most people will proabley opt for the stock teleflex gauges to be replaced for free. There for they should make a grey face PP 3.5 display

I got Faria replacements speedo and tach for around $150 for both. They run off paddlewheel that was installed this year with PP wakeboard pro. The total installation for gauges, paddlewheel and PP was about $400 (not including PPWP which was another $1k.
Must be PP doesn't see much market for upgraded digital graphics for 3.5 inch CC gauges. Too bad. The black pp look OK with Faria replacement, but they should offer grey for those wanting to stay with original digital teleflex.
Even better, they should offer both. They have three colors for mastercraft.

I will be upgrading a friend’s 01 boat next week to the Faria gauges and PPWB. I will take pictures and make a step by step how to if anyone is interested. I have PPWB 6.5 (single line digital display) in my 90 Sport. It is nice because it says Nautique and matches my old school gauges. But I agree, if you are switching out to the Faria then another black gauge without CC will not be too bad!sigpic

I will have something up after Turkey weekend.
Looks like PP has had a face lift done on their web site!

Could you snap a picture of the PP setup in your boat? I would like to see what you have that matches the older Airguides... it doesnt look like they currently have anything that would match real well, at least nothing with the Nautiques logo.

Echolodge, thanks for the picture. The gauge integrates very nicely into your boat.
I contacted PP and they confirmed that they currently do not offer a similar gauge that would match our 1990-1999 white faced gauges (other than the standard 3.5" Proseries face). I expressed my interest in a matching gauge, and they are taking my comments into consideration.
They would not commit as to when or what exactly would be available, but they did say they have a new face/faces in the works for us Correct Craft owners, I assume in a 3.5" size. They said to keep an eye on their website for news about new displays, so this is good news for everyone!1990 Ski Nautique

Received word back from PP a few days ago. They have ordered a bunch of the '00-'02 faceplates and they should be available around December 15.1990 Ski Nautique

01 Install
Figures... I just installed the old one in my friends boat this weekend. Here is a pic... Step by step when I get a chance. Install was easy and took about two hours. (At night, in the dark, outside, at Parker Strip)sigpic

RE: 01 Install
I was trying to use the name feature with the new pp. It allows you to but your name in and store your desired paddle wheel speed, or slalom speed (rpm), but not rpm mode. I called pp and explained the situation to Randy. He said the rpm option for name storing was not possible as the unit's brain did not have enough memory. The Wakeboard Pro unit's brain is the same as the 3 event Slalom unit. The 3 event unit takes up the memory that would be necessary for the rpm mode in the wakeboard pro when storing names. Hope that made sense! I hydrofoil at about 27 mph. If the boat is loaded down and I want to bump it up 50 rpm... I can't when I am using slalom mode in the stored names feature. I could only bump it up 2 mph under the slalom feature.sigpic
