I haven't, but in every sideshot pic I see of it, it looks awkward. The new mounts are really nice, I like that they added billet to it, and it is really really close to being a really good design. It looks to me like a mechanical engineer designed it and a graphics artist through some touches on it. What it needed was an industrial designer.

It looks like the rear upper tube starts out like an FCT, but then takes a wild curve backwards throwing proportion to the wind. I do like the fact the CC went their own way with it, instead of following MC or Malibu with their total swoop style. I do think the new X-2 is a really nicely styled boat. The tower works extremely well with the rest of the boat.

I am admittadly a stick in the mud though. I guess I just really like the old school FCT and always will.

Just my stupid opinion, that's all. Not trying to flame on the 220, I think it's awesome as a whole and I hope i get to see one. I may actually go to California CC next tuesday to check one out. You are correct about seeing it in person.

Having a colored deck does set the boat off nicely though, eh???

Yeah, I do like the colored deck. Hopefully they'll offer that again in the future.

Yeah once your in the the boat it doesn't look too bad. And Jeff is right, when you see how large the boat is in person, the tower is now more in proportion. I'm sure it will look cool w/ the bimini up also.

wow nice photoshop above! the tower looks awesome and I love the nice thinner lines. It kinda reminds me of a cobalt though, there are way too many of them on my lake and i don't wanna blend in w/ the most popular boat in my area...


But now that I've seen the photoshopped version of the tower I don't know which I like better... they definatley need to offer more options on this boat

I was just screwing around with the colors to try and see how the boat would look a colored deck, an old school FCT that is wider front to back to eliminate the top curve on the new FCT, and some accent stipes

I am a big fan of solid colored boats with minimal graphics. I have an all black 02 SANTE, I have never looked at it and thought it looked bad in any way, I am quite sure that I am biased toward it and thus want to see more of the same, which is thickheaded.

Well... just how you say you're biast towards solid colored boats, I am biast to multiple possible combinationed colored boats... in other words I just like to have more stripe options I think the boat is lacking another stripe inside and out I like the gelcoat design on the 210 and 216 the best still.
