Makes you wanna run right out and buy a boat from him. Good luck with your business, but won't be wasting the gas to visit them after comments like that in a public forum. Maybe CC should reconsider its selection for its newest CC dealership.

Maybe he is, and maybe he isn't, but the main thing is the how he said it. Sometimes you have to bite your tounge and just not say anything at all. In this case, as 82tique said above, that little slip might end up costing him more than he thinks. But ****, we're just a FEW people sitting around talking about Nautiques, right? LOL

I really don't want to get into the whole Mid-Ohio Nautiques argument, but I would point out that Eric stated on his website that Correct Craft dropped them. Check it out here.

No matter who dropped who, the point is that there are people who have been going to mid ohio since it was ron's marine in Mantua. Now that they no longer deal with CC, the new dealer should be interested in maintaining those customers as well as the new ones. People (as stated in an earlier post) sometimes buy from a dealer and not necessarily a company. If I had nothing but good experiences with Mid Ohio (which I have) I may be more open to possible purchasing a MC or malibu in order to continue my dealings with them. If you want people to keep buying CC and want to obtain them as a custiomer, don't bash the old dealer on a public forum. Seeing how the new CC dealer did that on here, should I decided to stay with CC (which I propbably will) I may look to drive a bit further to deal with someone else. Just my opinion

I'm not bad mouthing them just because they were the previous dealer. Nor am I bad mouthing them to be unprofessional. I was employed by Mid Ohio until 1 week prior to Christmas, 2005. So I DO know what I'm talking about. But anyway...forget what I said. I won't comment on Mid Ohio any further. I'll let you guys speculate on what went wrong. My job now is to take the new C.C. dealer in NE Ohio and make it the best C.C. dealer in the counrty. Our goal is to be the "Rookie of the Year" with C.C. I hope to see you all at our open house.

The fact is that you are bad mouthing Mid Ohio in a public forum. Doesn't matter whether it's true or not, it's still unprofessional. I'm choosing to continue my relationship with Eric and James.

Your probibly rigtht, CHass..I should have kept my personal opinions to myself. In retrospect, venting in a public forum wasn't the smartest thing to do. It's too late to take back what I said, but I do regret it. Eric and James are good guys. If I offended anyone who read this, I'm sorry. Anyway...this will be my last mention about them. I'm looking forward to the season as much as the rest of you and hope to meet you guys in person throughout the year, discussing boats, ski's and wakeboarding...FUN SUBJECTS!!!!

All I can say is that when I went to the Cleveland Boat show and the two respective dealers were across the aisle from each other, the group of salesman I chatted with at the new CC dealer were cordial and professional when asked about the rather obvious topic of "what happened".

The bad mouthing of other dealers and boat companies in general, is such a turn off. Had a similar experience as on this forum happen to me while shopping at a new Correct Craft Dealer. I have owned my CC for 12 years, had a great first buying experience at Ron's in Mantua (drove 3-4 hours and we had a CC dealer in town then too) We were quite disapointed when shopping this time around. It truly made me run to the competition. They made me feel like an idiot for even considering something else. Not good when you havn't even been around a year. Oppinions are fine, just no bashing.
