I'm with you 82 in comments like these shouldn't go public (or made in general)...

But if you think MOWS never once bad mouthed CC - 15% discount or otherwise - you are mistaken.

I have owned my CC for 12 years, had a great first buying experience at Ron's in Mantua (drove 3-4 hours and we had a CC dealer in town then too) We were quite disapointed when shopping this time around. It truly made me run to the competition.
My experience was exaclty the opposite. The CC bashing I heard at MOWS really soured my view of their "objectivity".

They're all great guys and I hope they succeed with their lineup, but they are not blameless.

        2fat--

I am glad you are keeping up with this. I was actually trying to show that these mistakes happen elsewhere--in Ohio. Everyone can have a bad day! Bravo for your appologies. It's the over and over again when I visited the dealer that threw me for a loop. Never got any appologies there or many returned phone calls either.

When I visited the Malibu and Supra/Moomba dealers I only heard about themselves without the bad mouthing of others. Even though the CC just moved in across the street from Malibu.

N/P 89 and thanks for the vote of confidence. I've been in the boat business for far too long! I have tried to keep a good name and reputation for myself in this industry for over 20 years and I feel like I could have caused alot of people to think the opposite of how I conduct myself over a few stupid comments. I use my professionalism in my career as well as in my private life. So when I say I regret what I have said, I truly do. Anyone who has had past dealings with me in the service department knows that I do a great job for everyone...not just a select few. And I will continue to do a great job with my new customers. Without you guys, we have no customer base and people spend their entertainment $$$ on other things. So hopefully, I can get past this and move on to better, more entertaining subjects. I hope I can be a knowledgable contributor to this site with my mechacical background and my knowledge of boating in general. Any questions or comments are welcome. Thanks....Dan

89 - It's tough to get excited about dealers like that when you've got one of the best Malibu dealers in the country located there in Cincy...the folks at No Wake are first rate. I've stopped in there a couple times while traveling on business. Even though I told them I was from out of town, they were as friendly, gracious, and helpful as possible. Forced me to take the tour of the place and have me meet all the folks in the back, show me some of the special projects they were working on, etc. When they found out I was in town the weekend of their annual owners "Beach Party" , they insisted that I change my plans and go with them and their families. They know the boats inside and out, everyone I met was an active skier / boarder, and are just genuine good people.

Props to all for allowing cooler heads to prevail...

And that the same high standards we have for our boats carries over into how we treat others...

To me, 2fat hasn't sabotaged 20 years of great service with one bad thread...

In the long run, NE Ohio would do well to have both dealerships and brands thrive...

And friendly competition between them should be the norm.

Let's let it go. I got my version on what happened and it may seem one sided. I did meet 2fat at the Cleveland boat show and he seems like an upstanding guy. If I was in the market to upgrade my current Nautique I would definitly give them a try. Who in here has ever said something we wish we never said??????? Forgive and forget. Remember spring is just around the corner.( not sure what corner however).

2Fat2ski, did you get any 206's in?

                      SGY--
the only 206 we have in at the moment is the blue/platinum one we had at the Cleveland Boat Show. We have 2 more coming in April, one is just like the Blue/Platinum combo we have (the one we had at the show is sold) and unsure of the other color combo. But there's still time to make changes to the order. Call us and let me know if your interested. We'll have the "incoming order" book at our open house on March 4th to show whats coming in throughout the year. All totaled, we have 28 coming in for the year.

Thanks, 97sport for the support. I'd be happy to help you or anyone else here to get a new boat, or keep the one you have, running in top form.

2Fat, what is the word on the TSC3? I always understood that the changes only affected the trick wake and jump aspects of the boat. Now I'm hearing that the slalom wake is softer and smaller. Any chance we're going to see those changes on the 206? Anyone care to speculate?

Only the 196 has the TSC3 hull. The 206 still has the TSC2. Trick and Jump are changed and that is it.

2fat2ski...... don't be trying to sell out of territory now............

What is the hull on the 216 and the sport before that?

Good thing I don't live in a CC territory. Or is it a bad thing?

Skinautique. Can you give me details of the changes made to the TSC3 hull? I understand some lifting strakes were eliminated. I would think the 206 needs those for the slalom wake. Somebody even told me once that the 206 has an extra strake. True?
