Drain/siphon off gas out of the tank

Do the tanks or gas hoses have a filter that prevents one from inserting a hose on either side of the boats gas intake and drain/siphon off gas out of the tank. This question is for the 2004 and earlier models?

One way to find out!

Use one of the vacume deals to get the flow started. I used a rubber hose on my 85 and in pulling it out, scrapped rubbert off the sides and eventually clogged my fuel pickup. That was a lot of fun to find.
