No sorry not you BKH the person who I remember saying CC made about 900. I also remember numbers similar to that on WB.com, where CC made about 800. I am just throwing out numbers that I've heard regarding how many boats CC made...

That question wasn't directed at you, sorry for the misunderstanding...

I posted the 900 number and I got it from a link on another message boad. It listed all of the major manufacturers and their production numbers as well as market share. Like a dummy I didn't book mark it but will see if I can find it. If I do I will post the link.
200 out of 900 is a significant amount of production. 200 out of 2000 is much less so. If I remember correctly, Malibu and Mastercraft production numbers were in the 2000 boat per year range.

I hope that CC does not stop production of the 196 but if they do they do. Given the choice of an ob CC or a closed bow MC/Bu I will go with the closed bow. The big three all make decent boats, I have driven and skied behind them all. The best value for my money right now is the 196 but I am not blind to considering other boats. Each time I have purchased a new boat I have examined all of the boats in the class. Each time, 99,02 and 05 for my money CC has come out on top. I have a world class dealer fairly close to me and a boat that is a joy to drive and ski behind.

            Found it.

            http://www.wakeworld.com/getarticle.asp?articleid=419

I screwed up and apologize. When I glanced at the article I did not see that it was only a Q1 Q2 2004 and 2005 comparison. Not sure how many boats get sold in Q3/Q4 but I would not expect it to bring the total number much past 1200.

            Interesting reading.

After looking at the figures on the sales in that link. For what it is worth my opinion would be that you could pretty much double the #'s and that would give you a good enough idea of the # for the total years sales for everyone.

Could be after all is in that CC was well over the 2000 total boat sales mark for the 05 model year for all we know.
Lack of proper planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part.

my skiing partners both have RLXI's. I do like the ski wake behind the BU a little better, fit, finish and handling doesn't even compare to my 206. But they paid 15k less than me for the same options.

Your's will hold it's value MUCH better over the life of it than the BU will I would suspect.

I agree the wake behind the RLXi is nice. But I like the 206 wake better--at 15 off. I'm just more used to the 206 wake and seem to ski better behind my boat. I'm sure if I skied more behind the Bu, I would ski just as well. That's why wake quality for slalom is very subjective.

The 206 loaded with same options, is not 15k less. From what I see used 1 yr promos going for, its only about 5k. (IMO in Minnesota)

I think talbertini meant that the 206 cost him $15k MORE than his friends' RLXI's brand new.

I recently purchased a 2005 RLXi. When comparing like models with similar equipment, the 206 was approx $8.5k more expensive than the RLXi.
