    New Speaker Grills

I never realy got around to making the speaker grill I always wanted. I ended up making some grills out of some MDF and speaker grill cloth. They worked fine. I always wanted a metal grill but until now I couldnt find the metal that I liked.
In fact someone here pointed me to" Mc Nicols company" in LA and thats where I bought the grill metal all $200 dollars worth. Thanks. Anyways I needed to make the frames that would hold the grill's. These are the frames cut out of 3/4 MDF. Im gonna cut a grove in the inside of the frame and sink a PC board style led's that wrap around the inside edge of the frame and light the speakers. They should be pretty cool.
    These are my old grills.

    RE: New Speaker Grills

Do you allow yourself to breathe (sp?) between projects?

Any carbon fiber on this one...

The grill material Im using is Aluminum perferated sheet, It comes with the natural aluminum finish. I cut the grills out and have sent them off to be anodized. Black. The reson they are gonna be anodized is because I thoought If i painted then the paint would be thick and get stuck between the holes and look funky

Probably a good idea. I painted some grills for some in-wall speakers for my surround sound. The paint was so thick that it clogged the holes in the speaker grills. ... I ended up having to poke the paint out of the holes with a toothpick.
