speck, if you have a belly tank look under the drivers footwell. the serial number is on the front of the pump and the 4000/4001 number is on the side. Both pumps have the same serials, but different amp rating

yes, i looked under the footwell, the serial # is on the front, then there is a side sticker that says 74001, is that the 4001 everyone is talking about? i also notice that the pump is rated at 15 amps, but is breakered at 20 amps, interesting? also my dealers pdi revealed the relay that switches polatity to pump out the tanks is bad. this also might be the gauge telling the sending unit that the tank is empty and not to be able to pump out. we cannot check this theory because it is winter here and we could not water test the boat yet. the question is, if your boat is on the trailer and the tanks are empty, will the pod allow you to try to empty the tanks? or only fill?

speck it will only let you try and fill, but you can take the ballast senders out and fill the tanks up with some water from the garden hose and then try to empty it

          1. speck your pumps are the same as our new ones, to old ones had a 4000 and rated at 12amps. the new ones have been working without a problem.

          2. If you wanted to fill the tanks on trailer, couldnt you feed the hose in the vent holes?
