RE: Re: CC at the Pittsburgh Boat Show

It's almost here. The 2006 Pittsburgh Boat Show. For us this will be our first boat show as a dealer and we want to kick it off in style. We hope what we have planned for our display will make everyone want to at least stop and see what Nautique has to offer.
PlanetNautique fans.... we have a special envelope of Nautique information that contains something very special. Please identify yourself to (Jerry, Lisa, Garret, or Bill(me)) to receive this packet.

By the way the website for the boat show is now updated. http://www.pittsburghboatshow.com

    Hope to see you there......

RE: Re: CC at the Pittsburgh Boat Show

I was there on Saturday. Skips had a great display, 2 196's (one of them displayed on a lift at least 10 ft high), a 220, a 211, and a Steeler colored 210. Had a chance to talk with one of the Meloon's (Ken I think?) for a good 20 minutes - he was GREAT. Really a good guy, talked to my sons about their wakeboarding progress. We also talked to a pro wakeboarder brought in for the show (wish I could remember his name). This young guy was also awesome - he'll be doing a couple of wakeboarding clinics for Skips this summer.

Having never been to another boat show, I can't really compare this to others. I've heard the Pittsburgh boat show does not compare to the Cleveland boat show but I saw more than enough boats to make me anxious for spring. Other towboats represented were

        Tige - Very good display with a 20i, 21i, 22i and 22v. Tige's are awesome looking boats that throw a great wake - If I didn't have a Nautique I would have a Tige.
Mastercraft - They had an X2 and a bunch of Prostars on display - I was hoping to see the huge X80 but they didn't have one this year. Just don't like the graphics and look of MC's
Malibu/Centurion - All the Malibus had those hideous reverse towers - is it just me or are those the ugliest towers known to man?
Moomba/Supra - OK boats, kind of plain but I guess they're trying to reach a different market segment than CC.

Sorry, I'm not a camera guy so I didn't get any pics...

CC at the Pittsburgh Boat Show

Huffy2k thanks for your comments. Just to answer you.... that was Ken Meloon and your right, a great guy..... the pro boarder was Adam Wensink. He may be back with us this week again. Sorry you didn't say anything to us about being a planetnautique fan. We did put together a special packet to give folks like you. Maybe after the show you could stop by the showroom.

We did take a few pictures and I'll post at least one or two tonight. But take a look at our website www.skipsextrememarine.com . By tomorrow I should have the rest loaded on our site. Just follow the boat show link.
