how to install a skylon pole?

i just recently purchased an extended pylon(skylon) off e bay. the seller wont return calls or emails, and i would like to know if i have everything(looks like i do from pics), but more importantly how to install this? does anyone have old directions they wouldnt mine sharing? even some helpful advicewould help!

It's pretty stright forward. There should be a piece of mesh to go over the pole. doesn't do much, just provides a little snugger fit, and saves the pylon from scratching. Slip the
extended pylon over your existing pylon. It will no go all the way to the floor. Should have
6 or 8 inches, something like that. If you have a two piece, slide the upper
piece onto the lower piece. Be sure to put the pin throught the uppper and lower.
There should be a nylong ring. This gets placed through the tow eye on the front
of the bow, and folds in half coming back to the cable. Attach the cable to both ends
of the nylon ring, and tighten. You check again to make sure it is tight after
a run.

i never recieved any mesh or the pin to hold the top section above the bottom section..theres the t pieces a ratchet style tie down -steel cable running from top pice to a nylon ring-a big pice of "stretch" material...hopefully this all makes sense..where could i find that pin? do i need the mesh?..

The mesh tends to get thrashed, and it wouldn't surprise me if it was thrown out. I dont'
believe you need it. It does help prevent scratches to the original pylon. Once you
have that cable tightened, it's not going anywhere. If you find it's floppy, you could
probaby wrap some duct tape around the pylon, but I doubt it's necessary.

Perhaps yours does not have a pin. If it did, you should see an empty hole going all the
way through both sleaves when you put the two pieces together. Again, I'm not sure
how necessary its it. Once you pull the bow cable tight, it would be pretty darn hard
to separate those two pieces.

My unprofessional advise. Use at your own discretion.

Keep in mind that this 6 foot extension provides enough leverage to lift a house off it's foundation or more importantly to rip your pylon out of it's stringer mounts. It is only supported by the cable forward so do not let your boarder exceed 45 or so degrees from directly behind the boat especially when pulling them up (no slingshot starts). Check and tighten your pylon set bolts regularly. At the first sign of problems put that succa back on E-Bay and buy a tower.
