I'll see what I can do about making very high quality archive files available for download in 2006. That way at least people would be able to download TV-quality video after the event is over.
That would be my only request. The job you did last year was fantastic! I've been watching last years archive files and can't wait until this years event.
I am getting a better lens for this year, and we might even be adding an interview camera, for quick interviews as the skiers and boarders finish their runs. Not sure about that yet, but we're trying. We're also trying to get in-the-boat cameras this year.
I can make the high-quality video available. That shouldn't be a problem.

I am currently looking into in-the-boat cameras for this year too. Anyone else have any suggestions?

You know, I actually have given that a little thought. I think I will ask about that for Jump. I don't know if it'll be possible due to safety limitations, but I'll check.

That would be cool for the jumpers.....however, they probably wouldn't want it to be on them because of reduced drag, extra weight.............. but see what you can do.

Schnitz recently released a couple of slalom videos taken by a guy sitting atop the boat's tower. The vantage point is amazing. If there was some way to have a camera from that angle, obviously without a guy sitting up there, it would be awesome.

There are already cameras mounted in the boats for the judges back in the pavilion, so I'm trying to tap into those. That should be a great angle.
