Does this explain why your dealership doesn't sell CC anymore?

I agree, Mid-Ohio! I definitely believe that the dealers are CC's #1 reason why they got the JD power award. Out of the 3 210's I have owned, only one was somewhat symmetrical, The 03 had issues with the GelCoat, the 04 had Electrical issues, and the 05 had the same vinyl bow issues as what Speck has, as well as the left side bumper. If it weren't for the dealer making things right, I would have only owned one then went somewhere else.
The dealers probably have to deal with alot of these QC flaws, but I am confident that CC and the dealers will work with you on them. Right CC?

I must also add that I can attest that none of the brands we sell are perfect all the time. They all have their share of problems. The others are just better at listening and making changes. Some of the problems we see with the other brands are with the new inovations they come up with and need the bugs worked out.

build quality on my new 210
I picked up my special ordered 2006 210 back in early September and the same issues are in my boat! The interior has exactly the same problems, steering wheel is same, door in winshield won't latch cause its spaced too far apart, TOWER ALMOST PULLED OUT OF FIBERGLASS 2nd day out, boat cuts out when gently pulling someone out, and ballast pumps keep burning up (have been replaced 3 times and still having problems)! After paying $65,000 for the best boat money can buy this is VERY SAD!

MidOhio is right. Most of the customer service issues are dealt with by the dealers. Because all ski boats are hand made, there will be problems that crop up from time to time. CC relies, in most part, on their dealers to make sure these problems are taken care of and the customer is happy. Because these are CC dealers, CC gets the credit. If CC can't keep good dealers happy, then the customer satisfaction will fall and Malibu or MC will win the award.

Speck, The QC on that boat is horrible. Your dealer needs to held accountable also. They prepped the boat and let you take delivery of it like that. It is a shame you didn't examine it before you left the dealership. I would of left it sitting there and told them they will get their money when its corrected.
One of the best ways to check out new boats before buying is to find out when the dealers are getting boats in from the factory.
Show up and take a lot at the boats before the dealer has prepped them. This will give you a pretty good indication of the factory work.

My 05' 206 had a few issues when delivered:
Pylon is rotated 15deg so the trick release pin is at "2 o'clock" not "12 o'clock" as it should be and some issues with high idle which may be related to the PP system. although I did not notice any irregularities I do intend to take a closer look at my interior.
One other issue is the clear finish on the tower is not consistent, some areas smooth, some not, is that normal?
Overall I am very happy and do not see myself buying any other Mfr.

Quinner - Thank your dealer the next time you see or talk to him....because I would bet he went through your boat and fixed a few things before delivery. I would also bet that he didnt get any $$ from CC for fixing their mistakes. And what you must also remember is that the dealers are Correct Crafts customers. Most of you would be furious if you received your boat the way that the dealers do. As a dealer we expect to have some PREP but not rework or installation of items that should have been installed at the factory. We question how they can get by QC and even the water test. Send the QC checklist with each boat....asked for that many times....never did see one.

I am curious which boat you believe is the best and can not believe that there are people who comment on all of the problems their boats have and then say I will never own anything other than a CC.
I will step up and say that there have been a lot of shake ups at CC headquarters over the past few weeks. I think Terry McNew is a guy who is willing to stick his neck out to do what is right for the customers and the company as a whole. Although you are seeing some issues with the QC, they are getting better. They have added a handful of new people to that department and things are coming around.

I may be wrong but when they arrive at places like West Coast Correct Craft thats before they go to the dealerships . Thats where they are "completely" assembled and maybe CC is expecting them to correct all there errors? I was not happy with my dealer after the first service so I took it to WCCC but now were moving to Salem Oregon and we hope the dealer in Portland is good??

Speck,
I am not suprised by your pictures at all. I saw some of the same issues with the seats and seat pads lining up in my new 2000 Super Air. That was FIVE years ago. This sloppiness is not recent. I try not to be too anal, and in some respects I can live with a little error, but how much of an idiot do you have to be to not catch something like that or be the one that did it in the first place. You have got to be kidding. The picture of that front seat was almost too painful to look at. Look at the distance between the rail and the pad on the left. On my 2000 Super, the back seat side pads were off about an inch on one side where they come up to meet the gunnel flush. One inch is a pretty big goof on something that is in plain sight and is meant to dress up the interior. And with your boat, it is not just one thing you have a handful. Again, I am not suprised but I am amazed with the work ethic and the lack of attention to detail over the last few years. You know, sloppy products and workmanship like this make us average workers look like geniuses.!!!! I bet if everyone that reads this post told other Nautique owners to go do a little spot check on the interiors and exteriors, many more mistakes will be unveiled. Again, I don't expect absolute perfection with the boat, but this post so far has opened some eyes.
Thanks.
