These pictures were posted on the mastercraft site. It's a Tige' but still. This guy might have some serious mechanical issues in the spring. Must be nice to have the money not to worry about maintaining you already expensive boat. :???:

RE: Not a Nautique But Still.......
I've read some of the thread on the Mastercraft. I don't think the owner is involved in these pictures. I think it is some of his buddies having fun at his expece. BKH2001 Super Air

Holy ****.... I blame the owner 110%. 100% for leaving his boat summerized in the water during the winter, and the other 10% for having "buddies" that would do that... All I can do is point and laugh....I Nautique, therefore I am.

You can see what ice can do to dock posts left in the water, what happens to the hull when the ice starts to melt and starts moving?!? Maybe nothing, but I would not be willing to take that chance! Why would you spend that kind of money and not take care of what you buy, no matter how much you have?

From what I've read, the guy got busy, travel, whatever. Thought he had one more week,
or thought one of his wakeboard buddies would pull it out for him if it got too cold. They did not.

I live in a boating community with perhpaps 5000 boats. You would be amazed at
how many sink every year because people don't bother to check on the boat, cover,
or bilge over the winter, and they fill with rain. People get busy, and s--- happens.
It bother me as well, but if you can afford a $1M+ second home, which you don't even
see for six months a year, and a $50K plus boat, which you don't take care of . . .
well, let's just say everyone has their own priorities.

BKH -- it is sad, but you are right, it is not a priority when with some people they have that much money the attitude seems to be "oh well, it can easily be replaced". I guess I am too passionate about my boat to ever let anything like that happen to it, I was mad enough when our stinken cat got into mine in the garage and puked in it!!!

It may be "born with a silver spoon in mouth" syndrome. People who work hard for their scratch are more likely to appreciate what it means to have something nice and take care of it accordingly. His "buddies" should've made sure that boat was out of the water PERIOD. I would take your boat out and worry about what you thought second, betting you would be grateful. RE: Not a Nautique But Still.......
Obviously, we don't know the whole story here, but from what I have read it had more to
do with the guy getting busy, than with too much money on his hands. I too would
have thought someone would have pulled it out. I routinely watch out for the boats
of my neighbors, but it seems I am the exception.
I once sunk my 4WD in a river, just because I was being stupid. Sucked at the time,
but it has provided years of good stories, and belly laughs for my friends. Things
have a way of working out.

Surroundsound, I wouldn't let it happen either, but trust me when you start getting up
at 4:45 and getting home at 9 or 10 each day; when you spend half your time on the road
travelling around the country; when you add in taking care of a sick parent, a family, etc.; and
if you keep your boat more than an hour from home - yes you can get that busy. If it had
been me, I would have called a friend to help me by getting the boat out.
Look at it this way - the guy is now an urban legend on the internet, and he didn't have to
get naked, loot a liquor store, or appear on Jackass to do it.
