warm spell thawed the majority of the ice (winched it). they had a couple ideas over on tmcowners.com that would have worked if the ice didn't thaw out. freeze plugs are out (obviously) and it is believed that the mufflers cracked and let in water, 2" over the floor at highest point. the stern appears to be still in the water. if you have time i would check out the ooops thread over there. the guy wasn't out of town, just didn't care and is a big time procrastinator. he was actually present when they took the skiing pictures, just not shown.
    I don\'t care.

Someday I hope to make enough money where a mistake like that wouldn't bother me.

        Geoffc210,

A mistake like that should always bother you, regardless to income level. Period. I will assume you really mean that you hope you make enough money one day where a mistake like that won't keep you off the water the following season because you had no boat or could not afford another boat, which would mean that you would be a numb nut and didn't learn anything from all these old men on this board who will try and impart knowledge on you about how not to be a numb nut like being lazy and not winterizing your boat like the numb nut who is the subject of this thread.

Well I tried searching for that thread over there, and the title actually has 7 "o"s in it. Here is the link

            Rhode,

I'm a little unclear on your post - are you calling me a numb nut? The only thing I would be concerned about is the environmental impact. To put it differently, I hope someday I make enough money to be able to "dispose" of a $30-40K boat and turn around and buy a new $50K boat without even hesitating. I have had to work for all my income and I take VERY good care of my boat (IMO) and couldn't imgaine EVER neglecting my boat like that.

Not calling you a numb nut, geoffc210. God forbid that I would ever again violate PN's 'be nice' rule and be so insulting about your original post, which clearly implies that you hoped to grow up one day and be so rich that it wouldn't "bother" you to trash a perfectly good tow boat for whatever reason. Your second post conveys more mature thougts; good recovery.
