    NEW SITE ---> Candlewood Customs.com

    Hey everyone, just wanna say thanks for all the input, help, tips, and overall comments I've gotten about this site. This may seem like a local community thing, but you should all know its still "NorthEast Nautiques" in disguise--I just can't call it that anymore Yellow_Flash_Colorz:

    I know there are not a lot of people from Candlewood Lake on this site, yet. So for ANYONE in the NorthEast area of the US, this site is for us! The NorthEast is probably the least-populated and least-active wakeboard/waterski areas of all in the US, but hopefully, this will soon change... ;-)

    So as a special thanks to the PN members, and the select few who I've gotten to know a little better over the years, I'd like to send a special invite out to you guys for an event in-the-making taking place this summer. I hope to see you all this summer on Candlewood...

    Thanks again... Enjoy...

    Candlewood Customs.com

    P.S. Although this site made for the NorthEast crowd... everyone is more than welcome to register and post... 8-)

    ~Austin E.

        Abun,
        The site looks nice but if I can provide one tip for you. Consider getting rid of frames. Here is the problem with it: The search engines will pull individual page names that won't include frames so you could have a page called news.htm that will show all of the news but won't include the other frames around it with the navigation links and such. Just a thought for you though but have fun with it!

            Ski, actually, one of the big problems I had originally back in the beginning had to do w/ frames and tables. I originally only knew about tables. So I had a site, made from tables. I think this PN site looks awesome, so I took a bunch of time looking at the source, and when I saw how this was made from tables, well, I was stumped. I still don't know how this site is made using tables. I mean, is it ALL part of the PNphpBB2 software? With me, I didn't want the forums page to be just forums, I wanted to keep the menu bar on the left, and basically, keep the look of the site. Using tables, I couldn't incorporate the phpBB2 software into a cell. And, when some cells were longer than others, it totally messed up the proportions of the whole page.

            So at this point, being stumped w/ tables, I was introduced to frames. It took some getting used to, and frankly, I've always hated sites w/ frames, lol. But this is the only way I know how if I want to incorporate the forum into the rest of the site, w/o it being like a sub-link from the site...

            I'm all ears though if you have any oppinions, if there is a way to make it so the forum is incorporated into the site using tables, I'd be eager to know. These tips are exactly what I've been looking for and need, thanks everyone!

                send me a message and let me know what exactly you want to do and i will try to help you. this site is a whole content management system. it is kind of complex and runs off of a database.
