i just got back from the cleveland boat show, and im in awww...i was like a little kid in a candy store....as i was looking around i noticed the supras..i have heard they are a cheap boat and sn is the best blah blah blah...what i noticed was the correct crafts were my least favorite in looks and bells and whistles(sorry guys, yes i love my sn)...correct crafts styling seems to me to be a lil outdated?...and very expensive compared to the bu's and supras...why is correct craft 7kto 10k more expensive...comparing the x star, sv211, bu ride, and supra launch, the sv211 was 8k more on average...i guess what im trying to say is if i was to buy a new boat tomm i think i would have a hard time not buying a bu, or even that i would prob. purchase a supra.(start the bashing screamin etc!!) dont get me wrong i love the nautiques, but imo the best bang for the buck is the supra....are these boats pos or just priced that much cheaper? :shock:

I was at the Atlanta boat show earlier this week and the supras also caught my eye. Of course they're not going to be quite up there with CC when it comes build quality and whatnot, but overall I was quite impressed. I thought the fit and finish looked pretty dang good on those boats. If I was young and my budget was a bit tight I think I'd have Supra right in the mix with the other big 3.

i dont see how correct craft is that much better...if compared supra uses heavier duty fabrics, carpets same ...towers look beefier and better welds...... i saw some welds on the ski nautiques that looked like **** to be honest........yes price is a huge factor i think in everyones choices........u just always hear about mastercraft-correct craft-and malibu-

Shows are great for all of the boats but it is an on the water test drive that allows you to see what shines and what doesn't.

Supra makes a good quality boat, been in business for a while. They are made about 10 minutes from me. They also make the Moomba in the same plant, dont know how much stuff they share. I do know that Mike Shirly, who's father founded MC is in there enginering dept. I'm sure some of his fathers boat knowledge has rubbed off on him.
I wouldnt think twice about purchasing a Supra, there are lots of them on the water here, many more then CC. Second on the water here is MC. I think there is good dealer support for the Supra here. But that may be their biggest problem in other markets.
FYI White Lake Marine used to be a Supra Dealer along with the CC's. I was told a well equipped Supra was more $$ out the door then a comprible CC. This was a while back though.2005 Ski Nautique 206 SE, Acme 422, PP SG 8.0, ND Tower

I have spent a bit of time in a 22SSV and found the vinyl to be very thin, prone to nicks and cuts. The stapling behind the observers seat had let go after 80 hours. I also bumped the side of it with a jet ski and found that flexed alot more than I thought.
It handled great and had excellent holeshot. The wake was pretty good. Although the ballast system was pretty cheap.

Alot has to do with what you can't see. C.C. puts alot under the floor. As for performance it's hard to beat a Nautique. As far as bumping the side of a Nautique that's the AME 5000 resin. You want the fiberglass to flex not crack which will happen with a poly based resin. As for Supra's they change company names as often as some people change underware.

to be honest guys, i just bought my first nautique(1994) in october...my old boat was a rinker with an 140 hp io.......i just liked the way the supras looked and saw a huge price difference.... i have has my ski nautique on the water for about 20 min, that was when i bought it from the guy 3 streets over. my neighbor who owns a mastercraft, said he would show me how to"handle that machine"...cant wait til springtime!

Now Ryan, there's a good post. I'm willing to bet the more time you spend in a Nautique,
the more you'll appreciate the boat. I don't know many people who have Correct Crafts that
move to something else. No boat is perfect, but you spend some time in your boat, and
you'll start to appreciate how well these boats are thought out where it counts, behind the boat,
and behind the wheel. Once you spend a summer behind the wheel, you'll get in other boats, you
may even like them, but they just won't feel as good as your Nautique.
That's my prediction and I'm sticking to it.

As I keep saying, RESALE VALUE!! The big difference that I have found if you plan on selling it someday to get another is the resale value, from my experiences you will get alot more back out of your CC than any other brand out there, so for extra up front will definitly make up later on!!

...and as far as looks go, I personally wish CC would stop their trend of jazzing up their look.
P.S. I have yet to see an X-Star priced 10 K below a 211....though pricing is regional.....but that is almost unreal. I think the 2 X-Stars at last years show were close to 20K more than the 211 Taylor's had. Maybe I will find the pictures and confirm.....

210 was 56 K and the X-Star was 78 K(did have the 450HP engine & metal flake upgrades). Somehow I got a photo of the 211, but not the sticker.....??? I though I will assume that it was not priced above the 210.
It should also be noted that Taylor usually options his Limited editions like teams(ballast, racks, PPWP ect)....but without the team stereo. Note the tower speakers and lights....so don't think that it is less expensive due to it being a Limited. He loads up his limited boats, but in his own way.
