    Cincinnati Boat Show

The Cincinnati Boat Show puts on another strong showing, except for the Nautiques. Unfortunately, the CC dealer had the weakest set-up out of the whole show. Two Nautiques, thats it...pretty weak. An Air 226 and a SN 196...thats it.

The show stopper cam from the Mastercraft dealer with a Bengal striped X-2. The Malibu dealer also had another strong show as well.

      RE: Cincinnati Boat Show

It going to take one seriously obnoxious Mastercraft and Bengals fan to buy that sickly thing!

In Cleveland - it was MOWS and Mastercraft that had the weak showing...4 boats compared to VanDevere's 7 CC's and 2 Gekko's

Interesting observation, joelhern2. Are you in any way affiliated with Hern Marine, the MC dealer?

A buddy of mine (who owns a MC) just got back from the show and had a different impression. He thought the Malibu setup won the gold.

yeah, that is my family (Hern Marine). My grandfather started the business in the back of his garage. i would defintely agree with your buddy. No Wake had the best set-up as far as wake/ski boats are concerned...but the X-2 seemed to be the biggest attraction and coolest boat.

Like Joel said, it was an eyecatcher and I'm sure drew people into look at the boats, so it served it's pupose. If you ask me, it looks about as good as all of the other new X Series paint schemes that MC has this year, none of which I'm fond of, especially the grafitti X-Star. One thing that I did like on the MC's was the billet tower mount with the CIPA extreme mirror. Can you get any kind of deal on those Joel, just curious?

sorry, no dice on the mirror. take it easy BKH...the boat did its job by getting people to the booth and creating chatter about the boat, bengals, and the dealership.

Hey no worries. If everyone had the same tastes, they'd all be the same colors.

I would hardly call land & Sea a cc dealer.. They've only had cc just under a year. No wake always has a nice set up. Last year was the first year in a long time that cc had any boats at the cincy show.. Its a shame that cc gets short changed here. Lake Cumberland was up last year with a 210 and thats it...and they are 2 hour away. The x-2 was sitting right in the middle of a main walk way, it was hard to miss..Plus they had it on a local tv station prior to the Bengals game 2 weeks ago pulling a buddy of mine on the ohio river..

I don't blame them. The space is VERY expensive at the show. I would guess that well over the 95% of the attendees aren't in the market for a competition ski/wakeboard boat.

They are having an "open house" to make up for any lost opportunity.
