Has anyone on this site bought a 220 yet? I haven't heard of anyone yet and I am pretty shocked. The boat is pricey but you know there are buyers for it!

Not a good time for me to do that right now. Maybe in a few months... We'll have to wait and see.

I'll be starting to go to boat shows here this weekend and plan to talk with my CC dealer about a 220, even though I just took delivery of an '06 210 last Sept. and only put 30 or so hours on it. As some may have read in earlier threads, I got swindled by my own ignorance about boats and BU's mega B.S. hype that their beamier-than-years-before '05 VLX was going to get the job done for people on a wakeboard. What a pig. That VLX MALI-BARGE needed to have a concrete truck back up to it and have poured a six inch slab throughout so as to displace any water.

Call me stupid for trading in an '03 210/SAN to buy an '05 VLX Malibarge, then selling it to buy an '06 210...and now thinking about dumping it for a Two Tweenner-220 (all within one year).

With a modestly wide beam and mega-heavy dry weight, I'm guessing that the Two Tweener-220 probably throws a big enough wake for me to compromise on that side of the equation so as to gain space for my family and have a more comfortable ride when not wakeboarding on the choppy, tidal Chesapeake Bay rivers.

Given how clumsily CC rolled out the Two Tweener-220 last year, and how late they are in opening the new Hundai plant, my gut feeling is that CC is several years away from making a real beast wakeboard boat...so why not try a 220 now? If I do end up pulling the trigger on a Two Tweener-220 and it ends up not working for me, and I run back to a 210 again, I promise to change my PN handle to StupidDorothy210 ("There's no place like home, there's no place like home").

We just got back from the Cleveland Boat Show and put a deposit down on a 220 TE Black on top with white on the bottom. It is supposed to be shipped March 28....the days are going to draaaag on!!

Would love to know what drove your decision from a board/ski/tube/foil/family perspective.

Btw, if I buy a Two Tweener-220, I'm sure to get white on the bottom like you, or get the whole boat one color. The lines don't work well for many two color schemes, IMO.

They're doing well in my area, I should see about 3-5, at least, this summer... One is a good friend upgrading his yellow/blk 210 to the popular yellow/blk 220, that's if he can sell his '05 210... So I'm pretty excited to see what rolls in my dealer in the next couple months...

Rhode.....We wakesurf more than anything, we also wakeboard alot. I was attracted to the 220 due to all of the versatility of the boat....not sure if you have seen one in person but it is alot bigger in person than it looks in pictures. The one I saw at the boat show was red on top with white on the bottom....very sharp looking. By the way this may effect your decision to trade in your 210...I was told that this is the last year for the 210....I find this hard to believe but it came from a good source. Also I hear that CC is working on something bigger than the 220....Who knows this could just be people talking but like I said this came from a very good source....

No more 210. I think that would be a huge mistake.

I hope that if they do go with something else they keep the 210 around and make it more affordable like Mastercraft did with the x2/x1.

I think my sources said that they're NOT planning on getting rid of the 210, and going to keep it for a while. They plan to use it as the "test-boat" for the new ideas in the future, like they transmission thing this year, the 210 is the test boat for that... Same source also said that sales in the 210 has gone down a lot since the introduction of th e211 and 220, so if something were to go wrong w/ the new experiments, they wouldn't take that much of a loss as you'd think...

Maybe you're thinking of the 216? My dealer said this was the last year for the 216.
