    boat insurance

I currently use foremost through my farmers agent, they charge 791.00
per yr for my 05 211. Anyone have any input, seems expensive to me. my sand car cost almost as much and is half the price.

    sorry for the boring topic...

Go to the AWSA web page, and you can get a Global marine quote within minutes. Ski safe and Global insure lots of ski/board boats.

Can't recommend ski safe - try Progressive.

ski safe has the best rates for inboard boats---your car insu guy can get better rate for go fast boats like baja, or a regular runabout---

gotwake--how come you cant reccomend skisafe?

There are several to look at....but I have had to use my State Farm insurance and they were great to deal with. I have heard that if you have all your homeowner and car insurance from one company, that you can save $$ on your boat also. Just a suggestion.

i have my homeowner, 2 vehicles, 2 commercial vehicles and some jewelry insu with state farm---they are awesome, but they were nearly 2X high on my new sante than skisafe----they just don't like 21 foot boats with over 300hp

Yeah, still sore about it, but not near as sore as my buddy who lost his 05 X2... Vein still about pops out of his forehead when he hears skisafe mentioned.

Try United Marine Underwriters www.unitedmarine.net and Boat US www.boatus.com for quotes, I have found them to be very reasonable over the years.

Past quotes given to me from Progressive/Farmers (Foremost)/Ski Safe have all been higher than most?

                      Good luck!

Oh, and I would make sure that boat us or some others mentioned are the actual insurance agents, not brokers.

Try Western Marine Insurance at www.aquapac.com. I have been with them for 8 years and they are very competitive on rates.
