Does anyone have any comments about either the 5.7 or 6.0 engine? I'm trying to decide which to order on my new SV-211. Any help is appreciated.

RE: SV211 - Which engine 5.7 or 6.0?
It certainly depends on how you use the boat. I have a 211 TE with the 5.7 and have been extremely satisfied with its performance. For our boating and skiing functions, I have never felt the need to upgrade the engine.'13 200V Sport Nautique

RE: SV211 - Which engine 5.7 or 6.0?
I have the 330EX in mine. I slalom, wakeboard, and barefoot. It is not fast enough to pull single footers (needs to be a solid 42+), it's close but not quite enough. I wish that they offerred a better option, I am not quite convinced the modular motors are great marine motors. I wish they could produce a good old iron block/head stroker motor that pumps our gobs of torque. In reality I think both GM offerrings are a bit weak when compared to the good old Ford GT-40. On the other hand the GMs do run much smoother than the old Fords.

My fam uses the ZR6, not in a 211, but a 216, and we love it. We'll prob. never get anything less, and are 110% satisfied. Chances are it is NOT worth the extra 4K to MOST people, but if you have the extra $$ to spend, and want to go all out and performance is a priority to you, go for it, and you won't be dissapointed...I Nautique, therefore I am.

test drove a 211 this past summer...I believe it had the 330HP engine. My personal opinion was that it was not enough power for that size boat. But, I think it would have worked fine once I got used to it.....88 Ski Nautique

the 211 hull can be a little fickle. With the sport prop on my 330 I could actually run 47mph @ 4900rpm, just me in the boat, bimini completely removed, 1/2 tank gas, slight chop, running into the wind, using the wake gate to get as much boat out of the water before it porpoised. Now, running the team prop, bimini open, speakers on the tower, 4-5 people in the boat, wake gate in slalom, barefooter in tow, it will run about 40mph. Nothing in tow with wakegate at #2, team prop, it will run about 44mph at 5200rpm.
