Another E-Bay Scam

I caught this aution this morning and promptly reported to E-Bay Security.

I doubt anyone would be foolish enough to bite on this one but you never know. Note the mis-spellings!

I have no experience with E-bay or any other sites like it - so this may be a slightly dumb question- but aside from the price, which is WAY off and a good indicator that something is not quite right, are there other ways or signs to tell that it is basically a scam?? How could E-Bay prove it was a scam and not just some idiot who had no idea of the value of what they were selling. Just curious.

That same boat has been listed on there at least 4 times that I have seen and ebay keeps pulling it off the site, each time it has a different seller id with 0 feedback and are new to ebay ...HMMMM... doesn't look good!!

just for ****s n giggles i email-d the seller, told them if them delivered the boat to my house, we will put it in the water and if everythings kosher and clean n free title i would give him 15000 cash...see what he says(im sure he wont reply)

I don't believe it is a joke, it is a scam. Each time it has been listed, it has been under a new user and a different user name, and each time ebay has pulled it off their site. If it was on the up and up this guy could take it to his local dealer and the dealer would give him more than $5,800 for it!

2 posts dude? Get to know my writing and thoughts a little more and then comment on my jokes. Then, you'll see what kind of Nautique guy I am and that I am very close friends w/ many MC owners, that I respect fully. It was just a joke, not meant to offend anyone... sorry...

I just checked the auction and it is even better now because he has it restricted to Qualified Buyers!! I am surprised it has not been pulled yet. Oh well, Caveat Emptor.

Assuming it's the same seller, the "qualified buyers" limitation is probably due to some guys on the MC board that bid a MC he had on the auction block up to the $750,000 range. He spent the morning cancelling bids. The owner of the email account this guy stole emailed one of our members trying to warn him that it was a scam. He told him he knew and that we were just having a little fun with the guy.

as much as i would love to agree with u, it WAS a joke.

and dont act like u havent ever said something along those lines. even if it wasnt about a MC owner. im sure you have seen someone do something in a boat made by a company u dont like and went "oh stupid (insert company name here) owner.
