    Nautiqes at Australian Flyin

Those of you who are into hydrofoiling will no doubt know all about flyins. Here in Australia we are having the second annual flyin in Grafton, which is about 600Kms north of Sydney. As I am one of the organizers of the flyin, my boat will be one of the main tow boats, so I thought it appropriate to make a post.

Our event will attract around 40 riders from across Australia and New Zealand, and will no doubt be a great time. Anyone wanting more info can go to www.ozeflyin.net. Pics from this year will be posted after the event.

Definitely post some pics from your event. I've never been on a foil, but it sure it great to
watch those guys go big. Does a Ski Nautique work as well as one of the bigger boats for foiling?

Although the Ski Nautique doesn't put out the wake of the bigger boats like the 210, I've had very advanced foilers, and even wakeboarders, comment about the pull being solid as compared to mid range boats. Most foilers do prefer the bigger wakes, but beginners to intermediate riders can get intimidated by the shear size of the wake, so riding behind smaller wakes will get their confidence up until they are ready to move to bigger wakes.

A friend of mine has a 210 and the ride behind that for foiling is absolutely unreal!!!! But I wouldn't trade my 196 for its slalom and barefoot capabilities... not yet anyway. Am thinking my next upgrade would be to a Ski 206.
