I'd just say it depends a lot on the status of your current boat, how decked out it is, and what kind of condition it is in. 16K sounds a bit much for one year, even to the 220. I did the math if I were to upgrade and it wasn't much more than that. Its up to you though...

Well, just from skimming the '06 price sheets and the MSRP of each, the 220's is about 13K higher than the 211. Factor in an avg. 10% discount, its about 9-12K dif, depending on options and sig. figures... So to put it inter perspective, would you buy a new 211, identical to yours, for about a 4-6K difference? Personally that sounds a bit high to me, but your Line may be a bit higher than mine, you're choice, those are just the numbers I came up with...

$16,000 for 2 more people. . . I know none of my friends are worth that but the 220 is a pretty cool boat.

Have you tried to foot behind the 220? It didn't seem that quick or fast even with the ZR6, that would be my concern. If you have already decided that the 220 meets your needs then the upgrade price seems reasonable.

Top speed is determined by engine->prop pitch->hull->water displacement (weight), not just by boat model.

I would not expect to see more than 40-42 behind a 220 with a boat load and footer in tow with a correctly propped boat. My 211 has gone 47 mph with the Sport prop (Acme 380) but in real life situations it's good for 40-42mph with footer in tow. That's just a tad too slow for me to pull a solid 1 footer at 190lbs.

 Mikeski, put down that choclate chip cookie dough ice cream and mix in a salad every once in a while. Yellow_Flash_Colorz:
