    Southwest Correct Craft?

I drove past their shop the other day and it looked like they had all cleared out? Does anyone know if they are relocating or shutting down or anything?

    RE: Southwest Correct Craft?

My understanding of SWCC is they are no longer doing any retail at their location. They are still the SW warehouse. Some of the service people have opened a service center in Tyler.

Yes Carl and Shannon bought the retail side of SWCC and opened a shop in Tyler called Ski-N-Sport. When I spoke with them this past summer they were doing very well. Selling boats right and left, had some nice Air's in the show room too.

Now I knew the same people who ran SWCC opened Ski-N-Sports, and I knew SWCC had been strictly a parts supplyer for a while. But last Wednesday they had 2 Air's in their showroom at SWCC, and Sat. when I drove by again it the 2 boats were gone and looked like the rest of the store had been gutted too. At least that was what I saw from the road.

Just kind of spiked my intrest.

There have been a couple of Boat shows lately and they probably took the two out of the display window to put in the boat shows would be my only guess. I just talked to Jason out their (really friendly guy that is very helpful), he didn't mention anything......

Ah, that might have been it. I'll be driving past their shop again this week a few times, I'll look to see if they are back.

They need to clean up the shop area and parking lot at their Tyler store. It's still not up to SWCC standards. Not much room to manuever.

I've found that a lot of boat places end up with more boats than they have space. And it results in boats getting left out side uncovered in the rain, even when the owners leave their cover with their boat. Resulting in a very irritated owner. hehe.

edit: That has never happend to my by SWCC or any one associated with SWCC. I was just throwing it in b/c it came to mind from previous experiences.

I wouldn't worry about leaving my boat with them. It's just not as good a setup as it was at Lindale.

The setup isn't quite as roomy (or covered) at ski n' sport as it was at SWCC, but I can't argue with the location (about 3 minutes from my front door). Shannon and Carl are tops and they are as good a servicing dealer as I could ever hope for.

All that praise, and I'm a MasterCraft owner in whom they've found a loyal customer.

/yes, SWCC is just the wholesale arm.
//Jason is a helluva guy. Don't know many who knows parts like he does.
