Successful SV211 surfing ?? How to is needed?

I've had a 05' SV211 TE for a few summers now. We've tried about everything that we know (plus a few "larger" friends sitting in back) and we never seem to get the wake to clean up for decent surfing without sumerging the side vents and flooding the boat.. We've added sacks to the side walkway, but never the front bow area, which I see some of the newer bigger boats doing.
If anyone has a 211 and has figured out how to "properly, safely, and consistantly surfed a 211, I would love to hear what the set up is..

    Thanks
    Moj.

yes, adding weight in the bow will vastly improve your surf wave. This was my 211 setup: 350# sac on floor of bow; FH 370# tube sac beneath observer's bench (running length-wise), and a 350# sac on the port stern walk thru. Belly and port rear tanks full. Speed 10.5 or so. This was with driver (me), adult and pre-teen passenger. You really need to be careful driving with this setup and don't turn around to pick up a fallen rider until you stop and let your wave pass by. More passengers and you won't need as much ballast. (lots of R&D time on this)

P.S.: Subsequent to finding this setup, I had tried to consolidate the mid and aft sac weight into one sac on the walk-thru but it was a very washed out wave. . .maybe would have had to run at a higher speed but didn't try. I imagine you are seeing the effect of too much weight aft. . .pretty much even distribution fore-aft was better for us, plus the factory tanks. Good luck.

You definitely have to load the boat from front to back with a full on tilt! Only person not on tilted side is driver. We run 9.8 with inland surfer squirt. Any faster and the board loses the wave for larger riders. We also leave the hydro gate in the slalom position.

I have an 04 211 with a RH prop rotation. We are all port side surfers so I switched the Vdrive out, now I have a LH prop rotation which def helps. I have the bow empty, middle empty, the back full with a 1100 sac on the walk through and a 350 sac under the port seats. The wave is perfect at 10 for us with the wakeboard gate in slalom mode. I tried so many ideas and this works the best for me. I can add a bow sac, which does lengthens the wave, but sometimes I am too lazy to fill it up.

My setup is similar to the above. I've tankbusted, so have 750s in each back corner. I have another 750 sac under the observers seat, which I run pretty far forward, but it still will only hold probably about 300 - 400lbs. Belly tank full, and port 750 not quite full.

If it is just me and my two girls, this will work fine at about 10.3. too much in the 750 without more people and we actually have too much weight in the back corner and the wave gets really messy. With another good sized adult on the observers seat we get a better wave. With two or more big adults we can start moving weight forward and lengthen out the wave more. but it is pretty sensitive to weight, so we typically need to play with the wake plate or speed a bit.

but once you get four adults it gets better... five or six adults and I don't have to fill under the observers seat. 9 adults and you will start pulling water in the vents, so make sure your bilge pump is running well or you can flood the engine.... but you can get a great wave.
