I could not be happier!!! Except I wish it were spring!!

I have a new air chair woody carbon fiber board ordered with the Phoenix and UFO foils, etc.

I just picked up a new to me Black 2012 GMC Sierra 1500 Crew Cab 4x4 tow vehicle to match my reverse color Vapor Blue hull with Black stripe 2005 SANTE. Just a small upgrade from a 2001 Chevy Tahoe 4x4 with 181k miles.....

I would supply a picture, but the boat is stored away for the winter, and the truck is dirty from the snow we got the last few days.

I must say I love the heated leather seats on days like today... The temperatures was in the teens with wind that is just howling!!

I cannot hardly wait for spring.

F-450 Plantium 6.7 diesel. I have several of them for company trucks that tow everyday. Tons of power, totally stock, heavy, they turn better and tighter than my family car. The 450 is the only way to go if you ever intend on going backwards with a trailer. On the other hand they tow well too. With the duel wheels and long frame you will not even notice your G during acceleration or braking.

I +1 on the Sequoia, I have a Tundra and its the most legit 1/2 ton for hauling and towing. Sequoia is the same drive train and frame..

I pull with a GL450. Couldn't be happier and the kids are comfortable in the back.

I have a 2002 Yukon XL 1500 4WD with 240,000 miles. Leaks oil, air ride suspension is dead, and emergency brake is broken. Pulls and stops my 08 210 perfectly!! I would only like to update it with a new Dodge Cummins only since I did not have much luck with my 04 Ford 6.0L PSD.

Sorry I haven't read through all the post.

The Excursion was basically Ford's F250 SUV. So if you didn't use the 3rd row seating in the Excursion, get the F250 and bed cover or camper shell for gear.

I'm not sure what territory you encounter pulling your boat but I have a 2011 Chevy 1500 with 6.2L gas. I only have the 3.42 rear axle, but it also came with 3.73's which would help towing even more. I definitely don't need more, but it was an option. A couple things about this, I had a 2012 Chevy 1500 with 5.3L. The 5.3 had cylinder deactivation so it ran only on 4 cylinders when power wasn't needed, in order to conserve fuel. My 6.2L runs on 8 all the time. Both are 4WD, both have same transmission and 3.42 axle. Not towing, my 6.2L will get a lot better MPG than the 5.3. I am impressed and love it! I feel certain it gets better MPG towing as well, but I never compared. To compare my 2011 1/2 ton to the same year Chevy 3/4 ton, the 2500 gas engine is 6.0L. Not sure of the power specs, but it's gas mileage sucks!!! The 6.2L is definitely for me!

For the new GM trucks, the 6.2L has cylinder deactivation. It may be a good thing, but I'm happy without it.

I recently read a review on the 2015 half ton truck comparison. Dodge prevailed, Ford 2nd, GM last. They praised Dodge for it's ride and handling with the air-ride suspension. Also said it would save a few cranks on the ole' trailer jack if you back under with suspension lowered, then raise the suspension. And Dodge offers the Mega Cab if you need the extra room along with bedside storage (whatever it's called).
