I was at the Dallas boat show on Saturday and thought I would post some of the pics I took. I enjoyed the show; the nautiques looked great. The last boat show I went to I only looked at the hard core slalom boats, but this year because of all the talk on this forum I was interested in at least seeing what the wakeboard boats were like. It was fun. I have to say the 220 was pretty impressive and looked great with a navy stripe. The Closed Bow 196 will always hold a special place in my heart and I'm glad Buxton had one there. I think it was the only Closed bow ski boat at the show (if you don't count the Cris Crafts). Of course Mr. and Mrs. Buxton were there and it's always nice to talk to them.

I've got pics of the rest of the line up if anybody wants me to post them I will.
As a side note if anybody thinks that it would be fun to take the trinity railway express from Fort Worth to Dallas to go to the boat show let me just say, "DON'T DO IT." It's much too convienient to have your own car. On the other hand I did get a good reminder to be thankful for the things I've been blessed with; that I have a car and don't have to use public transportation.97 Ski Nautique 196

auskier if you know the girl in the 196 I was walking by when you all were discussing something about rope storage when she had the observers seat open. It was the only slalom boat I saw at the show also. The rep from the factory was interesting to talk to about the CAD work he does. The retro graphics on the 196 & 206 were getting a lot of complements.Current

G-man:
The girl in the 196 is my wife. I only blurred her face because she didn't like the picture. We were discussing how our netting under the seat is so tight it's hard to get anything in it. We both love the "retro" ski nautique graphics. Of course we both grew up with older ski nautiques in our famlies.
AbunDiga:
I'm not sure about who did the sub or if it is factory since I didn't really talk to a sales rep about the 220. I do know the entire boat was done very well. I didn't think I would like the 220 (and I'm 99% sure I'll never buy one because I'll slalom until body parts start falling off) But I have to say I did like the boat.97 Ski Nautique 196
