Went to the Nashville boat show last weekend and noticed a few things...
1. The new Indigo Blue Metallic looks good, but the interior color to match was too purplish to match well IMO.
2. They had a 200OB there and I'd not seen one before in person... I noticed a faint "Ski Nautique" in the cargo doors at the rear of the boat and after investigation found that was light shining thought the door from inside the compartment. It had been routed out to make the material thin enough for light to shine through... Nice touch I'd never heard spoken of before on the 200.
3. The new color on the windshield frame, speaker pods, and board racks I like. It is textured on everything but the board racks. I like the texture though.
4. Looks like they went back to a smooth finish on the towers. (May have been changed in 2014, can't remember) The G25 at the show was red/white. It was the only boat I paid real close attention too, but there was red specks of over-spray on all the white parts of the tower. For a second I thought it was on purpose, but the specks were too sparse to be anything but accidental over-spray.
5. Noticed all the tower speakers were Focal, but the rest of the stereo was Polk.
6. Prices for all new boats are just ridiculous now!!!
This is a Nautique, Malibu, and Axis dealer so they had a bunch of boats in their booth. I was surprised at the 200 being there, but they had all 3 Gs there... No 210 or 230 though. Also had all the Axis/Malibu offerings from what I could tell. I guess it's being in the South and all the rednecks, but flake gelcoat seems to be in full swing! All the brands displayed had more boats with flake then not. Out of maybe 30-35 boats I think I saw 3-4 that didn't have flake somewhere in the gelcoat.
