How to flip racks on G23

I see people talk about flipping the racks on a g23 and advice on how to

Remove the 4 Allen bolts at the swivel and flip the rack upside down, and reinstall.

What's the purpose of flipping them?

Creates the exact space needed to cram a set of Rev10s tight up in the corners, completely out of the way for banging your head.

Will this also give more clearance in a G21 to spin boards under a Z5 bimini? I need to spin them in to get into the boathouse but they hit the bimini.

likely yes, but be advised, you wont be able to do a wakeboar boots up on the top slot. wakeboards with boots will need to be in the lower slot boots down.... also the same with the regular bimini and Rev10s. slight trade off for a much tighter tower speaker config.
